Swords are not very good, most people will get it, play with it and vault it in less than a week

your kinda treating this like a heartshadow moment which i can see from a stand point i do understand but with the last two melees they cooked up i’d rather see the lightsaber aimed as an exotic mission over having to hope on of those weekly resets will drop it

i usually vault it after testing it out,just like i did with New Malpais strand scout rifle, just like many special ammo exotic i vault it or delete it and maybe grab it later on , in the exotic weapon page if i ever have a good reason too like if its bugged and doesn insane damage like the Gold tusk ,no ammo sword glitch

Swords have never reflected bullets before. This will be way stronger than the normal block feature of current swords. Assuming the cool down is manageable.

Tell me you never played d1 without telling me. Also we got reflecting abilities in d2 already. (Arc staff) And we all realized sending back pve ennemies attacks is worthless. Even the helmet that x6 the dmg deflected still isnt enough to do meaningfull damage to ennemies. So maybe in pvp if you get ammo you might pull out something funny from time to time between respawning after being killed during your deflect XD

I didn't say nothing reflected in Destiny. I said swords have never reflected bullets. Do you currently have a sword that reflects bullets in D2?

It wont be game changing unless it does insane damage. Just putting eager edge on it wont suddenly change the game. Will just be a shiny toy to add to our collection among others. And no swords arent that good they are average damage and add clear wise. Fun sure but thats pretty much it. (Also due to the many negative close quarter modifiers they added now, go ahead and use a sword vs ennemies that slows you with melee hits, and send screeberd at you, or leaves damaging pools when they die)

Others may make destiny into a career, I do not. I also said nothing about sword damage or ad clear. Swords are valued for movement. As I do sherpa runs moving quickly is of more value to me than whatever the current youtube dps build is. I do not give a crap about portal modifiers. Portal content is not fun.

Oh ofc swords are fun, i use them often to move around even in gm and raids. (And yeah f the stupid portal) But having a new one isnt game changing unless it does something other swords cant do and that is relevant (so damage) And unless it has an improved eager edge, it wouldnt be "gamechanging" Just...another eager edge sword but fancier.
