I was saying in another thread that it'd be cool if Bungie could take these repealed reworks and make them into their own, standalone (or selectable, in your case) Exotics.
Your suggestions could also apply to Chromatic Fire, I'll add. The rework didn't go over that well with Warlocks, but it's a shame to think of that work being wasted.
