Haste and oscillation are terrible. The hunger modifiers are pretty bad too but I haven’t seen those since the GMs last season. Bane enemies were a fun change. Things that just directly screw you over. Not really.

  • It’s not even camping as a reason to dislike haste. It’s just counter intuitive in a game where you are meant to use cover. It’s easy to deal with in base level content but anything higher than that is awful. And the hunger modifiers are just heavily limiting. Obviously you can use them to your benefit. But if you don’t build specifically for it then it’s a heavy nerf. So it’s very limiting on what you can use. For example low rate of fire weapons are far less effective even if they are the correct element. The hunger meter is calculated the same way transcendence and super energy is.

  • Hunger modifiers are actually huge buffs if you build into them

  • I mean so is oscillation and haste. Oscillation gets you a huge damage buff and haste is basically restoration x1 all the time. When a modifier squeezes you into a very narrow playstyle it’s just not very fun IMO at least. I had to make a new build from scratch for like half the GMs last season.

  • While oscillation and haste can be strong when built into, i find their criteria requirement much more restricting. Oscillating often forces a double primary loadout to actually make use of. With how weak primary weapons feel in the current sandbox, it's quite terrible to build into. Prolly a 3rd of all nightfall players are running double special. Most are running atleast 1 special. And haste just mostly works counter to almost all encounter design. Requiring players defend a spot or trying to pick up a res. Also being punished for using a strategic spot to shoot from cover just feels bad. Hunger simply requiring damage from 1 element type, is very easy to work into most builds.

  • I don't see how you can possibly think Haste is a good modifier. It's not fun in any way to play, it's broken for like half the strike missions and it's buggy.

  • It’s an awful modifier I hate it 😂 I’m just replying to the fact that just like the hunger modifiers it can be a buff.
