ISSUE: After dying while mid Shoulder Charge, movement speed is reduced upon respawn. This effect continues until next death, at which time movement speed is put back to normal values.
REPRO STEPS: Player was killed during the third person animation of Hammer Strike (Solar melee ability on Prismatic Titan). This was most commonly experienced while playing Crucible, but was also noted in PvE game modes. Due to loadouts used at the time of bug, Peregrine Greaves were equipped during the bug, but it’s unclear if this assisted in creating the bugged state.
ACTUAL RESULT: Upon respawning, player will move noticeably slower, losing roughly 30-40% speed. The game gives no indication of this slowing effect, with all animations and FoV reflecting normal movement. This effect will persist until the player affected dies again, at which time their movement speed will return to normal.
EXPECTED RESULT: Player will respawn and have no negative effects.
LINKS: Unfortunately my setup bugs out when attempting to record footage, but if the bug cannot be reproduced I will try to borrow a friend’s setup to get footage.
NOTES: I spent the few weeks doing 3 PvP resets maining Peregrine Greaves Titan, and this bug would affect me about 1 in every 2-3 games. The hard part about it was that it’s tight requirement (dying during a highly volatile melee ability that often lead to trading with shotguns) meant that I did not know when to expect it to appear, but it made certain maps like Disjunction or Midtown much more frustrating as losing roughly 30-40% move speed made returning to the fight even more frustrating. I feel confident this bug can be reproduced, but if not I will do all I can to get footage of it in action.
