I am getting the same error, confirms everything you’ve confirmed, AND I own the game on the account I’m trying to play it on. It’d be nice if someone from Bungie could assist with this issue. I was playing the game just fine yesterday!

  • Cheers! Only took them 48 hours and minimal communication to probably go restart their login services for a faulty server. But yeah, cheers!

  • Right! It’s SO frustrating! Like, what even changed to cause this on the game that no longer even receives updates? It’s like a piece of their hardware stopped working and no one has even noticed…or something. Who knows, but my plans for the day have been thwarted once again by Bungo error codes.

  • To help garner attention from actual support staff, I’m going to start commenting on and upvoting every single mention I see of STINGRAY errors in the forums. I think it would help if everyone experiencing this issue did the same.

  • Exactly! I get that D2 takes priority, but the canned response telling us to just follow the troubleshooting steps when they’re CLEARLY not working and this issue is CLEARLY impacting a large number of people, indicating that it’s CLEARLY a server side issue on Bungie’s part is VERY frustrating. We’ve given them a substantial sum of money over the years. Multiple hours without a response acknowledging the issue is unacceptable.

  • Yeah at least leting us know that theyre investigating the issue would be nice... I did every thing they said to do on the helpsite and NOTHING works!

  • And this is exactly the problem! Bungie needs a dedicated chat support to identify and triage problems like this when they occur. Live services games CAN’T be played when something is wrong on their end and the lack of communication is simply inexcusable. They’ve probably got bigger problem though, like which new car their CEO is going to buy after laying off some more of their critical support staff.
