So here in Destiny we got:
One armor set for each class
A title with some grindy challenges
In World of Warcraft we got:
The first 40 main raid was revamped for the Looking for Raid system
Completing the raid awarded you a mount
You could get decent gear form the raid
Two achievements (One for logging on during the event and another for finishing the raid)
Cosmetic helmet drops for each armor class in the raid
An animal companion for logging on
an EXP booster that is given every year during the anniversary
a drop from the raid that let you add a special fire glow to your weapons appearance
Bungie has a failure of imagination and understanding. I understand it is a rough time over there. I understand the management is not great and It is probably not the best place to work. Still as a team who just affirmed there dedication to supporting and growing Destiny they are not inspiring much confidence.
Events like this end up feeling like wasted development time when you spend next to no effort on them. If the team isn't going to put a full whole hearted effort in to something like this then it is better to just not do it at all.

Well what do you expect? Bungo don't want to overdeliver.
-
1 RispondiBungie underdelivering due to lack of funds, hands on deck and whatnot, working on Marathon, now gotta work on their mobile game lol, yet they want us to believe they will make Frontiers greeeeeeaaaaat Yeah nah, gonna let em cook but not holding my breath so
-
1 RispondiYou forgot layoffs that came with the anniversary
-
Yeah it’s a -blam!- joke. 10 years of destiny and the best they can do is 2 tokens and a blue? The armor is cool but they could of picked the d1 box armor or something that actually looked good from Y1 D1 The title, cool. The grind… 1. run around the pale heart (a patrol space that isn’t matchmade) looking for cayde’s stashes (something we did but 1000 times better in forsaken for ace) 2. Complete timeline missions x4 3. A million deaths is not enough for master raoul 4. Play core activities Where’s the celebration? We basicly get handed the armor, icebreaker is locked behind the dungeon key. No new activity or weapons or shader. Its a joke

Sounds like WoW's a better game. Maybe you should play it instead of being here.
-
1 RispondiGo play wow then? Enjoy your ps3 graphics.
-
6 RisposteGo play WOW.
-
4 RisposteI believe onslaught was supposed to be in the 10th anniversary- and was pushed up to fill the delay gap
-
They'll release more stuff soon just not yet
-
If any of y’all remember the Bungie 30th Anniversary “Pack”, you really shouldn’t be surprised or disappointed.

It's either sad or if they're paid trolls...pathetic.

1 RispondiModificato da Raijinmeister: 9/12/2024 7:49:18 PMEven if you compare it with the Warframe 10-year event, which is a much better comparison since both games are F2P, this event is super "meh" Warframe does a metric ton of mini-events rewarding you during the entire anniversary month. During the 10th they went nuts with lots of XP boosters, credit boosters, resource boosters, customization items, skins, character slots, weapon slots, weapons, badges(their version of emblems), and the list goes on and on...

I see a couple of people tried to play off how bad this business has gotten when it comes to their events, and what they offer with the events in this game. Trying to compare this game to other games or making a dumb comment like, are you willing to pay for a subscription when Destiny is falsely advertised to be a F2P game just shows how the defenders have nothing to defend this scummy business anymore. No, their current situation with their company has absolutely nothing to do with this. it has to do with showing appreciation to the player base for supporting them all these years. The millions if not billions this player base has given them since Destiny 1. This is how they thank the player base? DE with Warframe has fewer devs that do more work and offer more to their player base. Waframe is an actual F2P game, and there isn't even a counsel subscription that is required to play the game. Destiny is falsely advertised as an F2P game and they have the balls to advertise their 10th anniversary that is literally behind a paywall. You have to buy TFS, an event some are even trying to pass off that it is "free". WTH is wrong with you people?

Fully Agree! The could have easily allowed us to gain back the beloved Glohoo shader. 90% of the current shader suck! They could have brung over the fire skull from D1’s Festival of the Lost as well. And why wasn’t the Nano Phoenix Ship the reward ship from the Zero Hour Mission??! Instead we get some lame junker cargo ship. And they question why player count has fallen off? Seriously… Their marketing manager sucks! Just look at Iron Banner, it’s a joke, nothing like the loot we had in D1. It’s like they want to kill this game off.
-
2 RisposteIt certainly feels odd that the 30th anniversary of Bungie felt like more of a celebration and if the implications of their blog post is true, even weirder that the first paid dungeon of the year is actually the anniversary content (assuming it’s more than just Icebreaker as the exotic as a D1 callback).
-
Modificato da Dooodley: 9/12/2024 2:56:44 PMI'm still open to the possibility that they didnt want to launch some grand 10th anniversary the same week as echoes ended. That may be naive hopefulness but I came across a strange bug in the Throne world that suggested that some changes might have been implemented.
-
Modificato da Kamehameha99: 9/13/2024 3:12:49 AMYou also have to remember, a majority of the revenue from Destiny 2 is going towards Marathon and Pete! Not much left afterwards for D2
-
3 RisposteAnd if the anniversary requirement of guardian rank 8 is true, that means you can't even celebrate unless you buy tfs. Pay us money or you're not invited to celebrate
-
What’d you’d expect, it’s bungie, making content is hard for them
-
The Bungie Store got more content than the game did.
-
Modificato da Kalyx triaD: 9/12/2024 8:39:53 PMYou guys really don't get that Destiny's team is a skeleton crew working with pocket change right now. Frankly it's almost admirable what they've been able to do with essentially nothing. Destiny was not scaled to be supported by what Bungie is now. They couldn't afford to keep their Hollywood cast from D1, they can't afford to do wholly new destinations every season or even half season, they can't afford to make new PvP or Gambit maps annually, etc.
-
1 RispondiThe way I heard it is the staff of Bungie had made three times the content we actually received. Hopefully thinning the managerial herd will purify the direction. There's plenty of content and much much more that wasn't released. This game would do good with a battle Royale mode. You would spawn randomly in Halo 1 and have to pick up random guns and go at it. So don't bash the idea everyone else has gotten on board and it's fun.
-
Lets play another game.. Spot the paid by Bungie team posting in the thread. 😂😂 We see you
-
Gonna be real. These are 2 different games. Why compare and waste time.

Because the Destiny average Destiny player wants to be taken seriously, while also not having to try that hard...

That monthly sub must be hurting your wallet if you are here instead of playing that "awesome" game chief.🤦
