I am truly impressed with what I just read up there in the news section for Frontiers. (several sections to read) Saved D2 for me. Lets see if tysON can deliver.. but the VISION is superb. Also.. that art style.. keep it dirty/gritty.. will help that VISION... great stuff.. Feedback has been heard... I shall wait. I didn't want to go too in depth but lets see if you feel the same way?

        • Surely the first thing Sony need to do is drain the BHQ swamp. The next thing, announce D3 is a work in progress (WiP)…and until it’s done, D2 will be on Life Support mode. D3 (WiP) needs to ensure there are sufficient Dedicated Regional Servers to support the game…so east coast / USA aren’t matched against players from Tibet. And that PvP will stand alone from PvE pathways, and vice versa. PvP needs a proper tiered League system with enough Divisions to satisfy all levels of progression. White belts play other white belts until they can progress to Yellow belt level. Thereafter, Yellows match white/yellow/orange belts, and progress or recede accordingly. Same for Orange belts - match yellow / orange / green… Same for Blue / Brown… Black Belts only match black belts…except for certain events, where Brown belts may also enter, as desired. Trials: two tiers - Flawless only based on a player’s history; Non-flawless - only match other non flawless players. No carries allowed. Period. Tier 2: Non-flawless get 1x 7-win / quarter (3 months) regardless of losses for either the adept weapon or a lighthouse trip. Tier 1: top players & teams (gold / silver/ bronze) and get exclusive emblems / shaders…and their names indelibly inscribed on the new Wall of Fame…plus a wreath of laurel leaves for their Guardian Seal. Everybody is happy! Sony also needs to ensure D3 gets the best technology possible and that its future-proofed. Could also explore a ‘Fast Pass’ option, as per ski resorts and Theme Parks. Also, a subscription model that is attractive, fair and affordable. Sony must also have Devs / Senior Management who play the game…and are the right sort of creative and inspiring leaders, with no regard to orientation/race/creed/colour…just savvy, smart people who want to make Destiny the best it can possibly be! And lots more besides…yet to be determined. Communication - open, honest, transparent…that’s what this Community of reasonable Guardians ever wanted but never got. Radio Silence does not work. It never did. The latest communication contains a lot to digest; it is a good step in the right direction. That’s the tell…let’s see how things develop from here…’cause you did get my/our attention! However, we’ve been here before… 🧐 Let’s see…🤔 Ease Springs! 🫡

              • Solid meh out of ten, for me. Instead of focusing on delivering great content at a steady place, they're again trying to mess with the release schedule. Seasons or whatever their equivalent is being called, have plagued this game for too long. So much dev time is wasted on activities that get boring after the first handful of runs, boring loot aside from one or two decent pieces, obnoxious time gated story content that goes nowhere and solves nothing, hyper focused on personal interactions and characters that although they've been given the spotlight still fall flat time and again. Difficulty adjustments just sound like the old nightfall cards. "Hey, play all our content, but now with the most obnoxious modifiers we can muster, just so you can get a taste of the loot that you're more than likely just going to hoard, or throw out." Yawn. No thanks. Also how are we talking about REMOVING more content when we've been giving feedback for literal years that removing content is one of the biggest flaws of the game? We'll see if future posts move the needle, but this just sounds like more of the same, more of the stuff I don't like about the current game with a new paint job.

                • I’m going to be honest, I don’t know how to feel about it. I want a good reason to keep playing but I need more info like what are reward passes,are the seasons free(I know the 4 updates are gonna be free but what about the seasons),will previous passes be still available,will the episode content still exist after final shape year? Things like that I need to know and I hope they figure out what to do with gambit and pvp

                    • "Curse of Osiris - New Ways to Play" "There's infinite realities to explore and all the time in the world" That sure sounded promising. My expectation regarding the paid content: In total nearly equivalent to a Lightfall sized DLC that's in reality about 20% smaller. Cut that remaining 80% roughly in half. Sell each half for $30 to $40. Even the largest locations in Destiny are small compared to most any other game. Now take into consideration that not only was Mercury a new location, so was The Reef. Paid Content #1: Slightly bigger than #2. Front loaded with what Bungie considers the best of whatever they've got leftover. Paid Content #2: something Reef sized with a portal to Infinite Forest-like procedurally generated horde mode. Hopefully with more randomization than just different enemies. As for the free content: If you consider "go kill 1500 dregs on the moon for a worthless title" content, then it will likely be jammed packed with stuff nearly that good. All of the above will be sprinkled with nostalgia bait like the re-release of Icebreaker. Tyson Green & Alison Lührs will do their very best with what they've got to work with. However, their unspoken assignment is to keep the remaining passengers on the Titanic placated so they don't run to the lifeboats all at the same time and capsize the sinking ship. Keep hope alive until Marathon gets released or cancelled.

                          • It's too late foe me... episode 3 is enough and the right time. There's nothing on there that, personally, feels amazing... generally I didn't see the complication in the ui... aside from the clutter perhaps (quest markers, challenge markers, lost sectors, public events, dungeons, raids, strikes, special events and flashing vendors). The portal looks to be adding complexity more than anything. It has potential, but needs to be refined... should be more like fireteam finder (as a starting point) I think... if they were clever, they could even use it to cater for personal matchmaking settings (solo strikes/matchmade dungeons etc). Strike modifiers selection... had that in d1, was okay. That really seems like a pre-made fireteam choice... headaches for solo players, unless everyone ends up using the exact same modifiers at all times; then what's the point of choice?? 2 dlcs a year, okay back to curse of osiris/warmind type dlcs. Free season activity... this is positive; suggests that story missions won't be a thing and they'll just concentrate on the actual activity. I assume the season pass will be cost money... interested to know whether it would cost the same money as seasons did previously!?

                              The idea of the expansion being non-linear sounds promising but not sure how it will work. If we're just getting a story for the expansion with just activities and events in between that have no story involved then I'm probably done but if those activities progress the story of the expansion it could be good

                              • UI improvements, great but not groundbreaking. Back to 4 seasons basically, who cares. Less content per expansion? We have to see how that goes. What I need to know is if after so many years are we finally fighting something else besides the hive, cabal, vex and fallen or is it going to be more of the same.

                                • Overall didn't perceive any other the changes I thought the game actually needed. For example more frequent retuning of exotics, adding more content to subclasses, not centralizing the entire game around a poor loot system, more dynamic combat with randomized enemy spawns.

                                    It's like sitting a restaurant waiting for the waiter to show up with refreshments but he's only 3 years late. Nah im good this time. Its bad enough wasting another 100 euros for the Final Shape hoping it wouldv been different. Joke's on me. Itll be the same as it always has the last years, same boring stuff, with the exception of the witch queen that is, which was enjoyable.

                                    • POSITIVES: - Shaking things up is definitely needed - More focus on replayability (core activities) - Gambit isn’t getting axed! NEGATIVES: - Still a huge risk of quantity over quality (release schedule looks even more challenging) - Nothing to suggest they know what to do with Crucible - Gambit is hanging on by a thread! Early days, but that was my initial impression.

                                        • From what I've read so far it sounds promising, but it's a year away and not only can a lot change in that amount of time there's also the possibility that I'll have moved onto something else. I can't predict much beyond tomorrow, never mind a year from now.
