I’ve been playing Destiny since my brother (a former Bungie employee) let me start playing his pre-alpha build after work in 2012. It was even more barebones than vanilla D1 at the time, but there was so much passion poured into it that I instantly fell in love with being a guardian from that day.
That said, I’ve spent the last month trying out other video games and putting my D2 time into personal projects, and my quality of life has significantly improved. I can play a match of literally any game in the time that it takes me to go back and forth between the helm and some destination over and over.
The fun parts of this game are great. And I don’t mind spending my time grinding copiously for something cool. But there’s just.… so…. much…. JUNK that is obviously meant to eat up your time and keep you preoccupied with the game.
So thank you to everyone who made this game great (devs and fans alike). I’m 25 years old and I’ve been playing Destiny since I was 12.
I have both given and lost so much time in defense of The Last City, but now I leave the Tower’s sunsets for a wider horizon.
The future of Sol is in your hands, whoever reads this.
Goodbye.

Lots of luck, on your future video game journey. I also said Goodbye a few weeks ago, and reduced my time, here, but it's also more difficult to say goodbye permanently than I thought it would be. Take care, and have fun!

3 RisposteWhen you've spent long enough playing and have the best gear, anything else that isn't changing how you play the game is just junk truth be told. I would love some more abilities of different types to shake up how I can approach a cluster of ads, but because of the pvp balance (which I'm not moaning about) anything interesting gets brought back into line and really takes the magic out of it (again I am not moaning about ability spam in pvp). I've been having more and more breaks from d2 and playing warframe and really enjoying it again, or just not gaming at all. All in all, bungie really need to shake things up because celebrating 10 years of the same old stuff is pretty lame.

The fire went out for me when sitting on that ledge with my 2 pals at the end of the final shape campaign. Destiny 3 and a whole fresh start would be the only thing to stoke my flames tbh, and it doesn't look like we're getting that. I've been having a look at this legend title stuff tonight and just can't find my mo jo. I'll probably play tiny bits and -blam!- until the next Dungeon release, but honestly, i think that's me done. Personally It's just so hard to get motivated to do anything in the game now. Another guardian down here.

Ignore the same tired old posts from the cognitively subnormals. Sorry to see you go, enjoy the many games as good as, or better than Destiny - farewell guardian.

2 RisposteI started playing on the D1 Beta on Xbox 360. I left April 2023. Same reasons as you outlined. Will never come back or play another Bungle game. There are many many games that respect my play time and money spent. Bungle doesn't in either category.

shame I won't be seeing you on my friends list anymore. Peace out bro

Godspeed and thanks for making me laugh with your post about changing your name and immediately asking for another name change token. See you starside guardian.

3 RisposteYour going to miss possibly the best season since Opulence next episode(or it could be like the rest, but the premise is promising) I play other games that do things better than Destiny 2 and thus are more satisfying to play , and I spend time away from the virtual world when I need to and do real life things with my family But I could never quit permanently, there is just something I can't leave behind in this game, so as long as the servers are on I will eventually return But each guardian is different, you do what you need to do, God speed and best wishes for you

Good luck! I still get a laugh out of your name when I see it 😂

Good on you brother. I dusted off my Strat again ..almost forgot how much more fun it is to play

This reeks of "my uncle works for nintendo" vibes. It's not an airport, no need to announce your departure.

Since 25 is old , I must be ancient ... I hope in my old age I have just been fooled and not reading some whiny dpuche wanting attention .....
