I had hope But after Concords spectacular failure, Sony is going to want to cut there live service losses I think Marathon gets cancelled I think the new Bungie off shoot Pete Parsons is supposed be doing is axed And has much I hate saying this because it's been 10 years of my life, I think all future support of D2 is axed 😢 like EA and Anthem Rework

3 RisposteIt's certainly not healthy - it's declining. Too many dev resources are overwhelmingly squandered on minority activities. The feedback loop is locked in to non-representative atypical players with vested interests. Too much is made to take from the game in order to feed YouTube. Matchmaking or soloplaying is being catastrophically penalised, or outright removed or not provided. Casual gamers are also penalised. New Lights continue to have terrible on-boarding. The flip-flop to a "woke" ethos into the game continues to be excessive and unwanted by many. See Asmongold's overview on the state of games https://youtu.be/hgTHvx2J-aY Episodes are just Seasons-lite. Layoffs are demoralising internally and externally will further reduce agility and content. No Destiny 3 in the works really exposes the age of this game as it has to continue to be endlessly repatched for it to try to keep up. Gambit - a former key replayable activity is left for dead. Crucible has fundamentally never outgrown it's D2 day1 Shotgun+Hand-cannon+Hunter meta. Finally, the competition, whilst not being "Destiny killers" is high enough to warrant jumping ship. The FS feels like a closure point. Is it dead or dying? Nope. But it's not great. I can only see it declining further then limping along at a base level. Still. There's always new cars to buy out there, so no need for glum faces.

5 RisposteThe game died when it's potential was wasted with useless systems and obscurity.

4 RisposteModificato da The Hermit IX: 8/20/2024 4:44:23 AMIt’s not dying for many. It is dying for some. It’s dead for others who don’t play. And it haunts those who don’t play but troll the forums. It’s a personal view point with any game. With that said they have a large active player base so it’s not going away.

its a sinking ship. The new raid was a disappointed by the community, the exotic class item and dueality drama cause a rukus, the layoffs and bungie nerfing everything and not listening to the community. And worst of all this worst solstice event which feels like it should of stay the same is the nail in the coffin. Now prove me wrong...

I think D2 peaked years ago and hasn't peaked since. Though I really enjoyed playing TFS campaign. It was a nice send off to the light and darkness saga. The episodic stuff (Echoes) didn't need to happen imo. Not sure what Bungie has in store in terms of content, I've only heard things that could be rumors, but I'm thinking it'll be my time to move on probably sooner than later. Unless they pull a miracle to bring most players back into the game. I doubt it'll happen.

I mean look at d1 and then d2 .... Everything has been nerfed to give the feeling it is harder instead of change the activities to be hard. The CONSTANT nerf especially in abilities to satisfy the elites out there that are basically a minority made the casual player gone !! Bungie stripped the fun away of this game and now they and sadly we pay the price. Was it worth it bungie ? Was it ? The reference for me will be witch queen Abilities were top with low cool down, abilities were almost always up, mods were so abundant and powerful, every exotic almost was usable with some in s+ tier Lightfall took the direction of the fall and it looks like there is no coming back from this unless a complete take over from sony. If i were sony I ll ask who designed the strategy and direction of lightfall and fired them instantly with a permanent ban for any game industry. They should go to politics for making up new tax idea or something the like. They are the worst of the human kind

Modificato da EW81: 8/20/2024 10:18:23 AMBlack Myth is out now so I imagine like myself, a lot of other players will be playing that. I have always played other games but come back to Destiny after a while. I just feel I won’t have much to catch up on now when I take breaks as I don’t think as much will be added to the game anymore. But I enjoy the game for what it is. I will still jump on to do GM’s to guild conqueror but not much else I want to do.

Some yes, some no Yes because destiny 2 isn't the same super popular, must play game like it was in start of D1 Up until forsaken of D2 I'd say No because we're all still playing it, right? While an argument could be made about the player numbers and whatnot but I've had no issues with matchmaking, compared to dead games like COD BO1 And BO2

I didn't vote, voting is dumb. My opinion of the current state of the game is irrelevant, but if you really must know what I think, please refer to my first sentence.
