I’ve never used glaives but I got a decent adept raid glaive that’s kinda fun to use since I saw they got a melee damage buff

Non-denouement would like a word
-
Everything else will have 100 words over those.
-
Ah so we’re just lying now
-
Only a few exotic bows are usable. Glaives need higher shield up time in pve. You're kidding yourself if you use either of these things in endgame.

Modificato da THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 8/10/2024 11:20:41 PMND is a legendary Trinity ghoul so you can use something else for your exotic. In some cases it is better because it can jolt to stun overloads. Fortunately, the endgame really doesn’t require any strict weapon loadouts so this thing is more than just usable. Either you haven’t used a good roll or you are a slave to like 2 weapons in each slot. ND is fantastic for add clear and that’s really all you need a primary to do. Edit: I do agree on glaives being quite weak. Forthcoming has one good roll for Triton Vice Nightstalker. Other than that glaives are borderline useless in endgame.
-
Not a slave. And I don't mind bows. But without a dedicated champion mod. I'll use other things with voltshot long before I touch a bow in a gm. Or God forbid a raid. The ad density is too high, and other weapons are just more efficient.
-
ND wrecks substratum…

Modificato da The Hermit IX: 8/10/2024 2:16:36 AMA actually close to melee on a Glaive is pretty, pretty good now. Outside of exotic bows (which are excellent) I’m with you there. Infusion fodder for me.

The exotic bows and the raid bow are S tier
The exotic bows and the raid bow are S tier
Why use a voltshot bow when I have a voltshot smg, sidearm, auto rifle, hand cannon, or scout?
-
Modificato da THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 8/10/2024 11:25:46 PMBecause it kills adds faster than all of those and from any range besides sniper / scout. One hit crit kills on minors then your next will also one hit and chain jolt to weaken or kill everything near it. It is objectively better than any other Voltshot weapon in the game because you can jolt every 0.5-0.8 seconds or so. SMGs are terrible right now. Lowest damage primaries in the sandbox. Autos are good but not for Voltshot or reload based perks. Pulses and sidearms are what I find myself using the most. Surrounded Brigand’s and Incan Nullify. Hand cannons are good in elite-dense encounters / activities. Scouts are very rarely necessary because of how aggressive we can be. ND is easily a top 10 legendary primary.
-
Because every shot jolts. It is the best jolting weapon in the game.
-
Because every shot jolts. It is the best jolting weapon in the game.
Every shot jolts if you get a kill. It’s not bad but there are better options in more ranges.
-
It is a precision frame bow. It one shot crits virtually every red bar in the game. If you’re looking at wizards or ogres or knights, you can jolt that and the chain will kill anything near it or you can shoot the small stuff nearby and those individual jolts will take care of the main enemy. You’re not using a hand cannon, scout or auto for Voltshot. And you shouldn’t be using an SMG at all. Only other thing that is reasonable is a pulse.
-
Jolted targets emit jolt when damaged so slow firing weapons are not the best choice for it. It is however useful for making the bow better at add clear.
-
It has a short trigger cooldown and a damage threshold required. If you’re chaining crits like you should be with a precision frame bow, it is jolting with every arrow.
-
But fast firing weapons let you quickly switch targets to jolt multiple enemies with little aiming needed to jolt multiple targets, even if the targets are farther away.
-
Modificato da THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 8/10/2024 11:35:52 PMDawg you can only apply jolt to one enemy per Voltshot so you still have to reload and nothing in the game reloads faster than a bow with Archer’s tempo with minimum draw time
-
I was unaware that only one shot could jolt that mb.
-
Modificato da THE K1LL1ONA1RE: 8/11/2024 12:02:39 AMAll good man yeah that timer for Voltshot just means that is how long you have to land a hit on an enemy to apply jolt. Once one enemy is hit a single time, it is jolted and that timer goes away. After the timer goes away, you need to get a kill and reload before you can get it back and apply jolt again.
-
Joltshot only procs after a reload following a kill so bows are the best as they reload after every shot.
-
Any gun can reload after each shot and since the buff last ten seconds any gun that can fire as fast as possible continuously for 10 secs with as few reloads as possible would be best for jolt shot. It's a great perk for more single target focused weapons like bows, but fast firing weapons make the most of the perk.
-
Bows “reload” rapidly comparitivly which is why it’s taken so long to be on a bow and that bow is a raid bow
-
These people will argue anything lol it is objectively the best Voltshot weapon. They can think what they want but it is suboptimal to use anything else besides maybe a pulse rifle.
