8.0.5: text chat bug
There’s a weird text chat bug appearing in 8.0.5, where usernames from your Friends list will suddenly appear in white in the text chat box. It happens while in orbit, a social space, or during an activity. Disable text chat is the only workaround for this annoying bug.
Update: seems I missed this from the patch notes. Although it does still seem to be bugged right now, as there is no disable toggle:

1 RispondiMy only option on PS5 was to turn off chat. Imagine the meeting at Bungie. Hey, lets make a new feature that spams chat when their friends come online, bet they'll love it. Not their brightest moment.
