There’s a weird text chat bug appearing in 8.0.5, where usernames from your Friends list will suddenly appear in white in the text chat box. It happens while in orbit, a social space, or during an activity. Disable text chat is the only workaround for this annoying bug. Update: seems I missed this from the patch notes.
