Now that the Witness is dead, where are the rest of the taken planets aka Mercury?
Just curious if we have insight on this? For example, Mercury was taken from us along with Io, Mars, and Titan. But we've seen the return of Titan and Mars. What about Mercury and Io now that the witness and its forces have been disrupted/destroyed? Have they been relieved or are there forces still holding on to them?

I'd love to see those worlds, as I didn't start playing until after they had vanished. Perhaps in lore, we'll hear that they've returned, but from a logistics standpoint, it'll be a while - if ever - before Bungie is able to restore them. And if they do, what will get yeeted into the Vault? Nessus, perhaps, depending on what happens in Echoes?

1 RispondiThe Doctor hasn't gotten around to putting them back yet. Apparently there is some particular order they have to be done with after he defeats the Daleks.

I apologize if I come off ignorant, but why can’t i change to my solar, void, arc, and stasis. It seems like I can only pick either prismatic or stasis. I tried looking online, but nothing was helpful. I see on the app, but in game, I can’t switch to the subclasses. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

They're likely back. Mars was returned while it's believed the Planet encounter from Root returned the others. But we likely won't be going back to them. Honestly I kinda want them to return except maybe Mercury since that's less of a planet and more of a seasonal area.

4 RisposteProbably will be brought back in Frontiers. I don't think Frontiers will be us going to new planets outside the solar system as a lot of players are speculating. Bungie are masters of recycling after all.

That's a good question. I wonder where the witness even put them. Perhaps he's hoarding them with a bunch of other planets in a vault of some sort.

I hardly got to explore IO and Titan. Haven't even touched Mercury. I believe I started D2 somewhere around the end of Season of Arrivals or like sometime a little bit before Beyond Light. If they don't have anymore future plans...they should bring those planets back since it won't take up their space for whatever plans they may have. [spoiler]I miss Venus...[/spoiler]

After completing Excision, the final cutscene with the Guardian looking out over the Traveler includes dialogue from Crow saying “the Witness’s most zealous followers are still carrying out its last orders.” This can be used to explain not only why we are still fighting the Dread in the Pale Heart, but also why certain locations remain hidden. (΄◉◞౪◟◉｀)

I like Mercury, its soundtrack and colors - I would appreciate having it, together with those other locations, back. I used to go regular in its lost sector for bounties from Banshee-44. The same goes for strikes, The Pyramidion is still one of my favorites.
