Well, I understand the train of thought, but honestly though, look at how bad the forums are still. I don't think it makes a difference with or without it, so I'd rather be able to remove what would otherwise just be taking up space. I mean text is only MB of data, but its spread over hundreds of thousands of people and adds up. The people that do this stuff; they don't care either. They will never stop. They will keep coming back no matter what is done, because its like this seriously bad compulsion that needs serious help. I just don't feel Bungie's solution has really had any impact whatsoever.

I can't say you're wrong, I've seen where people post hateful, offensive stuff on the forum and blatantly state they don't care if they get banned because they'll simply make another BS account and come back. But what other solution is there for Bungie, short of removing the forum altogether? As you say, some people are going to be d-bags; I suspect they can't help it at times.
