I feel like Exotic gear should be able to achieve higher stats than Artifice gear
It's kind of funny that I can be in a complete Artifice kit with 3 100 stats, but my exotice bring me down. The exotic focusing was a great addition to the game, but it isn't as if I can farm rolls on the like artifice.
The rare armor shouldn't have bum stats. If exotics could get their max stats raised to 74 that'd be great I think. That's just 3 better that artifice

1 RispondiNot sure if I agree but I’ll give you a bump because I’m intrigued at the very least. I always felt that exotics should be maxed at 65-70 stats across the board and artifact should be able to touch 70-75 maybe. To me the benefit of the exotic is the exotic perk, right? So it should have slightly less stats to balance it with other artifact armor. However I suppose adding the artifact +3(if that’s what you’re saying, I apologize for misunderstanding) wouldn’t be all that game breaking.

2 RisposteExotics can roll 72 points base, which is 1 point better then artifice gear. Granted thats the stuff of myth & my personal highest pieces are 70 & 71. A big part of the problem of why they are rarely seen is exotic armor has its stat rolls weighted. A great example of this is the aeon armor for each class always roll extremely high. Or the reverse, star eaters consistently roll 65 or lower.

There is a good and bad with everything. Bad: Exotics do not have an extra mod slot Good: Exotics give you (sometimes your team) bonuses that no other gear provides.

I'd love it if masterworking exotics gave them an artifice armor slot. With the masterworking cost already being super high it feels like it would make the price more worth it.

1 RispondiAn exotic with the default collection roll is still better than a god roll artiface piece purely due to the effect of the exotic. Triple 100 isn’t all that, I run a much more balanced build (50/90/50/60/50/40 before mods/fragments).

Not like the point of exotic armor is the effect and not the stats .... Also you putting way too importance in stats

4 RisposteI think armor needs stat brackets, as it stands now there some exotic that there ability is worthless an armor piece of the same type can be much better. Legendary armor should not drop anything higher then 64, exotic should drop base 65 to 70 on the high end.
