Lightfall has actually been so bad that I have zero investment in it emotionally. Playing the campaign and jumping from plot point to plot point with no answers and more questions, combined with being forced to use strand and it not even being good or nearly as fun as they were selling it to be, has killed my interest in playing. I’ve been playing since D1 beta and there have been a few expansions that literally just kill my internet in playing but after beyond light and especially witch queen being very strong I thought for sure those days were in the past. I fully expected and anticipated lightfall to be epic as “the beginning of the end” but it’s actually terribly awful and in times where I’m bored or in moments where I have free time I actually don’t even feel like getting on and playing, just because, what’s the point? The power grind is literally the only reason to play at this point, and grinding power is getting very old. The story and lore that should have come with this expansion and this season, that would have kept the player base engaged, isn’t there and it’s really just turned me off the game. Just when you think Bungie has learned something and isn’t going to continue ti repeat the same mistakes over and over again, they suck the air right out of the room.
