Why do some tech companies insist on following the worst anti consumer trends?

Trends started by -blam!-ing Apple, mind you. I said "some companies", but I specifically mean Samsung. Now, brand loyalty being a silly thing completely set aside, I've been a Samsung user since the S8 and haven't had much complaints as for as features or the lack thereof goes, even now with my S10. But then comes the S20 with it's lack of a headphone jack. What does Samsung do? Release their version of an accessory that was widely panned when Apple did it so that you can use regular wired listening devices. "Wireless und Bluetooth are the way to go. If you can afford a sub 1000$ phone, you can afford basic wireless / bluetooth buds." the ignorant sheeple cry. Even the most novice of audio purists knows wireless doesn't hold a candle to wired in terms of sound quality. Even with that much bemoaned decision, Samsung has now taken it a step further in their attempts to turn a blind eye to what their customer base wants by forgoing the micro sd slot on the S21... Why? "Well, 128 GB base is enough for most people and there's multiple cloud storage options these days, so it's not that big a deal." No, no it isn't and yes, it is. I have the 128 GB S10 and have only used ≈ 63 GB. "Okay, where's the issue then?" you might be thinking. The issue comes about when you consider I've used 150 / 256 GB on my sd card. Do the math. Now, me needing to replace my phone since it is acting wonky is in a position to upgrade. I'd make peace with not having a headphone jack, but the S20 is literally more expensive than the new iteration that hasn't even come out yet (and that's not even including the trade in offers and discounts for the new one). What the -blam!-, Samsung?
