Eververse must cost more, we shouldn't be able to buy with bright dust and it is justified

For those of you who don't know it already, here is what Eververse sells: Emote Sparrows Ships Ornaments Stuff that makes you look cool And other stuff which does not affect gameplay With that out of the way, I believe it is time to increase the cost and let people who really want it to buy it. Anything which costs silver can effectively be doubled and not be a part of bright dust pool. This is all ok because this will allow Bungie to fund its game and allow free content to roll in easily. I may sound like a marxists but this solver economy is a way to tax the rich so the no tax payers can sleep easy. Buying anything except a ghost with guiding light (10% xp boost) has little or no impact on tour gameplay. So for things which are free, let Bungie milk the rich kids. I am all ok with it. Special shells could be packaged with pre orders as incentive but that's about it and I'm ok with others paying for my free game.

I just bought silver the first time ever and been playing since D1 Vault of Glass explanation. Now they are self publishing I decided to support them. Also get some cool looking ornaments on the way. I don't regret it at all. I love this game and feel Bungle deserves a little more. And yes I bought all the expansions no free passes here. With it being free to new users to keep our servers full of players, I agree they should raise prices but maybe only free players. Paid players 10% off incentive. IMHO

    • I can agree with part of you statements, but the ever increasing and agressive push for more and more mtx ,dlcs, seasonal passes in the video game industry stagnates innovation and original ideas. Much like rushing gaming development to meet release windows and having an unpolished bug laden game patched after release is the norm.Im not a fan of either. When gaming found out there was lots easy money to be made and the pushback would be minimal they continue to push the envelope on how far is to far.

      • Being the only vendor that gets consistent updates, gets easily the most content of anything per season, and has more attention to its detail than any other activity, I believe we have the right to affordable bright dust purchases. You do not update your damn premium store more than your actual game and then ask me to pay for it. I understand Bungie likely needs the money, but I cannot justify spending anything more than the money for the DLCs. As most of the money I use for the eververse store is just going to go to eververse content instead of actually useful content. I miss the days of D1 when Eververse was just... there.

They already have money rolling in. They have game sales. Destiny is the second highest selling game franchise behind Call of Duty. Next they have Silver sales which have been taking advantage of player FOMO for years. There is also their merch store. They also haven taken on outside investment from China. 2) Eververse doesn’t “tax the rich”. It most heavily taxes players who are young, who are shopping addicts, and who are susceptible to FOMO because of mental issues. Microtransaction economy has been heavily studied (especially the F2P mobile game model that Bungie copies) and the players paying the most aren’t the ones being dehumanized by being called “whales”. 3) The game isn’t free. 4) There are things that effect gameplay in the EV store. Things like a ghost that has a unique perk that gives a player more experience earning, and a ornament that gives a shotgun more range.
