Bungie has officially announced that this game is an MMO, albeit an untraditional one. And now it's time to add things that have been norm in MMO games for over a decade.
For one, why does this game still not have a Regional chat and a recruitment chat?
And not only that, but why does this game have forced match making settings for Strikes and Raids? Why am I not able to turn off and on match making? If I want to solo low level Strikes or play with randoms in high level Strikes I should be able to. And to add on to that, why isn't there a party finder? It's a common mechanic to let people make parties and set rules for who can join and who can't, primarily a player's level.
I shouldn't need to tab out of a game and go to it's forums to find people to play with.

Fireteam in app works fine. Not a big issue compared to other things they can focus on.
-
I’d rather have loadouts

ha iniziato una nuova discussione: I made a concept design for an in-game LFG(19 Risposte))
-
because there is the app? what would be the point of having two LFG systems when a good portion of destiny players can't even coordinate a loadout for strikes, and you'd expect them to communicate and rearrange their build to specifics you want to sum it up, LFG in general is trash
-
Modificato da Doc-6: 10/22/2019 4:06:53 PMAs for regional chat, it does have it on PC. As for solo strikes, you can do Nightfalls. In general though, your opinion is pretty subjective. The entire reason Classic WoW exists and is flourishing, maybe even more than retail, is because it doesn't have the "party finder" features your asking for.
-
Because Bungie ran before it crawled. A lot of stuff they do is counterintuitive to having a place to meet friends and play together. Thankfully Xbox has a built in LFG
-
You know the app you used to write that post...it's on there. Your welcome.
-
This isn't a MMO.

Modificato da TrooperHR: 10/23/2019 6:22:33 PMBecause someone was mean to bungie's employees online once in 2001. Online matchmaking is a dangerous mean place! Don't you like Guided Games?? It's such a safe space for sensitive little lights.
-
Crazy part is how easy it would be to make a bullitin board at the tower with basically help wanted postings
-
The new lower difficulties of try Nightfall Ordeal is proof that matchmaking for pinnacle activities will never work, rarely do people go in with the right weapons and run right by champions
-
I agree with you on the regional and recruitment chat, but the fireteam finder built into the app works well for me. It lets you wait for people to join ur squad well you do other activities, and it generally doesn't take too long. (if your looking for something traditional like a raid. Shattered throne teams take forever to get together still.)
-
I really like the Fireteam finder on this Destiny companion app, but feel it needs to be in the game. Just having a place in the tower you can post and join fireteams would be amazing and feel get used a lot more. The only addition I would make is having description of event, so you can make sure it’s going to be a fireteam you will enjoy.

Watch out now, you'll be called a lazy, good for nothing because you expected a basic, run of the mill, essentially standardized feature to be in an MMO game. You entitled f*ck boi. Jk ffs, if Destiny at least had chat rooms then they wouldn't even need the actual feature. Warframe does just fine with 'recruitment chat'. I have a keyboard plugged into my Xbox for that reason alone, to interact with chats. It's much less cumbersome than needing to switch devices.

Modificato da Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 10/22/2019 4:43:52 PMIt’s a pseudo MMO, and they can say RPG all they want but until they ease up on the rigidity and actually let people play how they want(the R in RPG) instead of just saying it, it’s still a looter shooter. An amazing universe and story with an incredibly rigid and impractical game model.

Think on this..... I can load into the Raid solo..... the one aspect of the game that you probably shouldn't play solo, but other parts of the game I would like to play solo and could complete I cant.
-
Because the devs usually work for consoles. There 3rd party apps are quite common. They cannot understand that PC-Gamers would like it all in the same programm they are running. Many people have been complaing right from the start. :( But you already noticed they fan-boys' standard replies to that topic: - install the app on another device (why should I?) - use the forum (that's so 90s) - join a clan and use clan chat (scr*w casuals / solos)
-
Because bungie.
-
The annoying thing about this is that stuff like the Companion App DOES have an LFG. But it's annoying and doesn't work properly, and some people probably don't even have the app to begin with. They really need to make an LFG in game. I play FFXIV for 5 years, and the past 7 "Savagec (hard mode) Raids, I've done in LFG with randoms, without voice chat, and I do the 3 out of 4 floors of that raid in the first week. I just don't have time to organise raid times, or have a static, due to work hours.
-
and why does the game not have a CLAN chat?? a simple, text based clan chat that you can disable if you dont like it..
-
Because it’s already provided by the platform you play on. Does COD have it? No. Does Borderlands have it? No. Does any game actually have it? No, not really.
Feel free to name a game that has built-in LFG system that no one plays
-
Just needs a chat box like warframe
-
I don't even know why this game wants to force you to use a fireteam ever. Matchmaking should be optional for every activity.
-
That would be too hard for bungie.
-
Destiny was originally made for consoles (Xbox 360 & PS3), not pc. For D2 they added pc.
-
You could get some friends....
