I left the game awhile back and have returned to check out if it is now worth it due to all the QoL updates that came with Shadowkeep. What the hell happened to Iron Banner while I was away? Its turned into nothing more than a bum rush the capture zone game. And the moment your opponent gets all the zones you as the losing team are punished further by being locked out of the zones. It seems all counter intuitive. It seems to follow the same principles of Gambit, giving the team who is in the lead another step to step up and kick down the opposing team.
A better solution would be to have it where teams take the zones but at set variables the zones will reset. This makes the teams move toward their zones to recap them or make a calculated push at the enemy with a super/heavy. The current system just says screw that and keeps the ball rolling for the winning team. Why would you design a game type so poorly?
I'm looking for someone to explain to me why the current system is the correct way or provide a solution here cause this game type is absolute Sh@t at the current moment.
