Allow Upgrading Exotics via Infuse! Let the community decide if they want this or not Bungie. I personally, like many others (it would seems from posts), have grown attached to a lot of my exotics and would rather put more time into leveling them than swapping them out for new each new XPAC. Exotics are few enough this should not be too impacting. It would also let the players build up a nice collection over time and give them a reason to continue doing content in old raids/dungeons (i guess...). Just think if transmog became a thing also...
