They admitted to removing sbmm to appease the Twitter complaints and creator crying endlessly.
It's been so long, then after the recent radio silence due to vile toxicity from PvP players on twitter they suddenly bring sbmm back.
Confidence? Or teaching people a lesson?
Either way, I enjoyed the twab, good to read their thought process and maybe I'll play a bit more PvP to show support. Loose sbmm is a very positive step for the health of the game.

5 RepliesHaven't people been complaining about it here for months, too? It isn't just a Twitter thing, PvP players just like to complain about whatever they think is causing them to lose at any given time. Any bets on next week's PvP complaints? I feel like Telesto is overdue to break everything again.

It's probably a coincidence. A steady dull roar of people wanting it back and iffy population is probably why they're experimenting. Not killing the new blood while also not driving away the old guard is a good plan, since too strict and you drive away a lot of dedicated players, and no protection for the lower brackets drives most of them away.

Edited by Malenia, Blade of Miqullla: 7/29/2022 6:40:44 AMNah, if Bungie really wanted to send a big middle Dub to all the Twitter sweatlords, they'd just give their community managers a free pass to use "gamer words" from 2010 in all their replies. That or glitch out worlds first runs of the toxic players fireteams like what happened during Vow.

This is just my opinion as an "average player". I do not believe its a healthy decision just from what they've said in the twab and I'm probably not gonna like where it goes. But ohhh well, it will just force me to be a casual player on D2 or not a player at all. But that's on the worse case scenario, who knows once I've tried it, I might like it but I honestly feel like I won't. Just a wait and see sorta thing.
