Just like the topic says, I would to be able to run some dungeons with other people, but because my friends only play a little, it's hard to find people to run stuff with. I understand we have freelance stuff for pvp and raids (still doesn't stop cheaters though).
So would it be possible to do a freelance type of thing for dungeons? As for the nightfalls and others stuff, just please turn on the matchmaking. Currently, being a bit of a solo player is difficult and getting better gear and weapons is also up there when I cannot participate in the higher tier content or clear it by myself.
An update like this would definitely help in those fields that are lacking a boost in terms of soloing certain content only to actually have help instead. Plus it would probably bring older players and maybe newer players to the game again.

Edited by Yamabushi999i: 7/31/2022 2:10:54 PMFor all 1-3 player activities, Matchmaking. Where matchmaking isn't deemed viable - arguably GMs, Master level Quests/Missions/Dungeons - then fireteam number difficulty levelling. No arbitrary major advantages or major disadvantages dished out just from fireteam size. Like WQ Legendary Campaign scaling.
-
Everything should have matchmaking, it’s not like it’d effect people who use LFG anyways.
-
4 RepliesThat’s a no for me. I’m not carrying people through harder content especially when I see people struggling to understand the ball mechanic in The Corrupted strike and refusing to use anti champion mods.
-
It's more work, and at Bungie - they want to make as much as possible money with as least as possible effort, so this is never going to happen. They can't even fix artifice armor after months, and you expect sth like this from them? lmao Just use whatever, do their work for them. They won't be paying you, though. 😅
-
4 RepliesThey don't really have a valid excuse not to do it, they also still won't do it.
-
Yes yes yes been saying this for a long time if the players have wrong mods il just go bk to orbit and try mm again but end of day majority of the time if people are trying certain content they know what they are doing
-
1 ReplyWhy not just make an LFG so you and the people you play with have the proper loadouts? You want matchmaking yet people still don't know how to make public events heroic. People STILL don't charge the orbs in corrupted. You're more likely to get matched with a player who doesn't speak the same language as you or they just don't communicate at all. You're more likely to get teammates who don't have the associated mods required. You're asking for a bigger headache.

Matchmaking for everything beyond Raids would be great, honestly. I think the playerbase can handle the same Master and Grandmaster Nightfalls we've done for years solo, with groups, everybody pretty much understands that assignment by now. I wouldn't doubt it though, if it were done this way because of how they have the game built; maybe its less stress on servers or something, somehow to run it this way, but I don't know.

As long as I can still hop in solo if I want.
-
All for it as long as it’s optional. If I want to solo or two man a dungeon, I don’t want a rando showing up and throwing a wrench into the program. Personally the thought of doing a dungeon or high end strike with randoms who may or may not know what they are doing, is not something I want to deal with. Make matchmaking for all as long as it’s optional.
-
1 ReplyDungeons can be solo'd and Legendary strikes were matchmade during the last holiday event. They could at least make a solo and matchmaking option for those.
-
3 RepliesI'd say with restrictions, like a mic must be plugged in to match make. I don't want to be paired up with a noob looking for a carry that doesn't have a mic.
-
2 RepliesPeople still cant put on champion mods for regular NFs, no way they can handle anything more than that Raids, Dungeons, and GMs should stay as fireteams. And to the people who say "Well then you just make your own fireteam. It doesn't effect you" that's wrong. Trials is a prime example. They allowed matchmaking and because people complained they added flawless pool that caused even more complaining. Dungeons and Raids would be no different. You'd get plenty of people who how up with no mic, no knowledge, expecting a carry, go AFK just for fun, mess up encounters on purpose, etc. Then we get all the posts on here about it every day of the week. Lower stuff should be matchmade. Top shelf stuff shouldn't.
-
I can see the point of NOT having matchmaking as it currently works since Dungeons/Higher tier Nightfalls typically require coordination for load outs and often times some communication. This just means that a more robust matchmaking (in-game LFG) system is needed for higher tier content. Sure, there is LFG via Bungie.net and the Companion App, but players should not be required to use external tools.
-
Matchmaking is never and will never be optional so no.
-
I say YES... But only if it's live streamed for my amusement
-
If you can 100% guarantee that bungie wont design / rework dungeons in order to make it easier for random teams : yes. If not, then NO, no and re NO.
-
There is no freelance raids so??? Yes dungeons and nfs can have mm. Raids should never
-
Only if it's optional matchmaking. I don't want to be pushed in to play with random blueberries.
-
Players can barely handle the ball mechanic in corrupted hell no
-
Gonna have to go no. I’m definitely down with 560 nightfalls being matchmade, but absolutely not in dungeons. It’s been 3 years since Forsaken, and people still can’t handle the ball mechanics in strikes.
-
I voted no, but if it's a yes I'll be back here for a laugh when people be complaining about blueberries not knowing what the hell to do.
-
Learn to solo them or find other gamers on lfg. Matchmaking for harder content will never happen.
-
There's matchmaking for these things on the website you posted this question on. Only a click and a few typed words away if you'd like to host the lobby.
-
Can already imagine a match made communication-less VotD raid.
-
Bungie will allow matchmaking for certain playlists at the cost of 1000 silver per playlist, do you do it?
