Having something like classy restoration means that for 3 months you will be fighting an uphill battle on one set of items while everything else needs to work harder
It is only fun for so long until it creates a stale game environment.
Please Bungie, do not make such game-changing artifact mods in the future.
Edit: the point of mentioning classy restoration was not to throw shade at the mod itself, but to give a current example of a mod that is prevalent in the crucible. Things like 1 energy hand cannon targeting, glacial inheritance from season of the splicer, shotgun dexterity mods, ect. all fall under this category.

it sucks having all my kill progress in PvP being nullified thanks to this damn mod

2 RepliesThey just shouldn't work in pvp, people hated healing/overshields since Wormhusk came out in season 3 and Bungie still are adding them in pvp, it should be an option rather than the best and easiest build to use. Sometimes I think they have dementia or something like that, I'm not talking in a rude way, but how they making the same mistakes for 5+ years? The best way to shift meta is just buffing certain weapons/archetypes for 1-2 seasons and then nerf them, like they did with auto rifles in season 10-11 and 120 hc's in season 12-mid 14
-
I agree...well stated! However, we are peasants and Bungie won't do it.
-
I want Bungie to make powerful season artifact mods because they spice up PvE & give some cool builds each season during the season activities- which are super bland. I don't think these mods should even work in the crucible.

2 RepliesEdited by Necrogen: 7/27/2022 7:04:12 PMHow about use the mod? It seems to me that the fact that everyone has access to it suggests theres no "uphill" battle, rather a pride issue when it comes to using certain things. Players can get over themselves, put it on and use it. Players can also stop complaining about mods if they dont have anything better to suggest. Its a space magic shooter...its supposed to be this way.

I understand that when it came around the first time that Gunslingers weren’t in a great spot, but how do you look at Solar 3.0, you look at how abused classy restoration was with void and arc Hunters and go “Yeah, this is reasonable”
-
You would think bungie would have looked at classy restoration and thought to themselves this might make pvp as slow as double primary. However given the amount of healing and over shields so readily accessible it seems they either said f it or have simply given up on pvp or worse it was all intentional. It blows my mind that people like you still care enough to be upset. Outside of keeping revenue flowing bungie stopped caring a long time ago and making posts with more consideration than bungie has for their own game won’t change a thing. Acceptance is hard but I believe in you.

6 RepliesYes these mods are a little to good but, you take hunter an already strong class and make it so they can be invis most the fight, and healing grenade and dodge etc etc. Next season warlocks will get chain lightning melee which they can do across the map and kill full teams. Titans supposed to be tanks, hunters are glass cannon assassins hit hard and fast but squisy warlock are the mid class that heals but only has mid def. When you allow every class the option of using other classes skills, grenades you affect the balance. Destiny doesnt even follow thier own story line anymore its evolved into whatever this is supposed to be.

1 ReplyHow dare people use the flashy thing that season that Bungie says they should use that season!
-
2 RepliesGive me back my skullfort.. am still using arc while scrubs used every cheesy void and solar load out imaginable.. I’ve lost encounters so often to purple or pink guardians by the tiniest margin it’s unreal… if they screw my Titan over when arc drops am gonna quit this game
-
2 RepliesWhat do you expect from a company that has literally abandoned pvp lol On the bright side at least we don’t have stagnant metas for years. Always hate when that happens.
-
artefact mods should not dictate ANY meta... since champion mods exist, the artefact tells you what weapons you have to use that season...

I think people exaggerate classy restoration and Lorely in PvP , I know I am really bad at crucible , but they dont seem to help much, you are not out healing another player, all they seem to do is slightly delay your death , not prevent it , I think void overshield Titans are much more effective Now Hier Apperant, that was some broken cheesey fun before the nerf that should have got its own emblem , if you got heavy the match was all over but the crying, you were basically Arnold Schwarzenegger in that hospital scene in Terminator 2 -
Edited by Lord-Hyfixxa: 7/28/2022 4:55:21 PMIf it didn’t the Meta would stay the same for ever u dumb -blam!-

Double dex quick charge needs to go

2 RepliesWeird, I still find more invis crutching hunters more than classy restoration hunters🤷♂️
-
we had this kinda problem with arc battery. Bungie don't care about PvP.
-
Had to punch a man 4 times to kill him in pvp because of classy resto and healing grenade. I think its bungies way to reduce the skip gap for bad & new players. You know like thoes jims that shoot witherhorde at their feet just before they die.
-
Hunters basically have og wormhusk but better back because of classy restoration
-
2 RepliesDestiny PvP doesn't Matter anymore. See what I did there?
-
You are absolutely correct. This classy restoration healing meta is ridiculous tbh and basically makes every other class a lesser choice. The reworks for the classes should be enough to pull players in… Arc season gonna be annoying I just know it
-
5 RepliesPeople in these comments saying to use it just ruin the entire point of the feedback. Artifact mods for the most part should work in pve not pvp. Base game builds and weapons should be whats in pvp the artifact mods are only here for a season and classy restoration is literally wormhusk 2.0 from vanilla d2. I have no problem killing people that have classy but I shouldn’t be punished because a person who has no map awareness or gun skill can press their dodge button twice and heal. Titan helmet I have no problem with except the fact of how fast you recover and how long just makes it absurd to fight against especially when you have the upper hand on someone.
-
When will you guys realize that Destiny 2 will never be a "competitive" PVP game and just roll with the punches? Seriously....you think Artifact mods are the problem? Ha! You are asking Bungie to "not make" these mods, which kick -blam!- in PVE, because you died to someone in PVP? Well screw that and screw anyone who thinks that's a good idea frankly.

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 7/28/2022 10:54:17 AMBungie could simply disable the last 3 rows of the Artefact In PvP (the last row especially seems to carry the OP mods) (The first 2 rows (of the 5 rows) usually have things like Sidearm Dexterity, Auto Rifle Targeting or Handcannon Reload mods - costing less than their regular counterpart to equip)
-
2 RepliesAll classy restoration does is it keeps a live a bit longer given how team shoot happy folks are nowadays it may give a second or 2 until you respawn else where sane with lolerey they aren’t as strong as folks make it out to be

If artifact mods dictate the pve meta then they should the pvp meta
