Come on bungie give us a way to filter what we want sending to the post master!! We can't store any ascendant shards in our vaults so we have no choice but to stack them in the postmaster that then gets filled with crap and pushes one of the hardest resources to get out to be lost forever, this suck!!! Either let us stack 20-30 in our vault or give us more controll over the postmaster

I would like to donate my blues to you.

Muhhhhahha

bungie:haha NEVER!

1 ReplyThe OP request is reasonable given the fact that Bungie uses the PM as storage at times. Games shouldn't be designed to have the player base spend a lot of time dismantling items because the developer refuses to look for a solution to a problem they caused.

1 ReplyEdited by Virtual_Pain: 7/28/2022 2:31:35 AMStill waiting on that ghost mod that auto dismantles blues for me so I can grind as much as I want without getting a loot block Last thing I want is blue loot to affect my grind.

2 RepliesPS4 player here, and I’ve been destroying square buttons since D1 Day 1. Bungie needs to include controller insurance with purchases at no additional cost.

Same problem, lost god rolls, upgrade modules, golfballs, etc due to mailbox running full. My problem is fomo. Every season there are many new weapons but I don't know which roll is good/best. So when it drops I dump it in my vault to be reviewed "later". Which means my vault is full of stuff I don't use, but might in the future, once I review the item or Bungie changes the meta. Or someone posts a video showing that item x is now s-tier. I also keep all exotics with good stat rolls , just in case it suddenly becomes great, like starfire protocol. I usually have one empty slot for each item, with my most used ones directly available so I don't have to go to DIM whenever I want to swap. Sure I could clear out my vault, keep more empty space in my slots. Then I wouldn't be forced to stop playing the game to check my mailbox, review the items to see if that roll could be good or not. But most of the times i just want to keep on playing.

22 RepliesAmen and hallelujah. But Bungo is perfectly happy to have us lose valuable mats because (a) they won't let us put them in our Vault and (b) the Postmaster fills up with excesses of blue crap, umbral engrams, etc. and (c) the Postmaster is FIFO and you just plain lose stuff. It's silly that we have to stop playing frequently to manage our "closet" space; what is this, a home improvement/storage management game or a shooter?

Or they could just remove the arbitrary caps on resources as an easier first step. It’s one weird -blam!- backpack that can carry thousands of legendary shards and bright dusk and spin metal leaves but once you get 10 golf balls they all fall out on the ground.
-
Eliksni Gunslinger"We Fight For Great Machine Together" - old
They also need to cut back on the prime and umbral engrams, that's what usually clogs up my post office -
Just lost 8-10 the other day from trying to run solo flawless prophecy. I’d say a fair trade off would be a lock option for postmaster gear so it doesn’t get auto cleared
-
They just need to prioritize items in the postmaster better instead of just by date acquired. Paul Tassi had a video on this topic that pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. https://youtu.be/cz24PPMfgOc

25 RepliesEdited by AbsolutZeroGI: 7/28/2022 4:23:24 AM1. Use your materials. They're an infinite resource and you don't need 50 of them. Hoarding resources gets you nowhere and accomplishes nothing. Masterwork your gear, get a 10 stack to tide you over until GMs come back, and get over yourself. The drama. How are people so shook about 25 seconds of item management? 2. The app, DIM, the tower, the enclave, and the helm all have postmaster capabilities. If you don't know what's in there, I just listed 2 tools and 3 in-game locations where you can check, and the tools can be done while you're not even in the game. Not knowing is your own fault, not Bungo's. 3. Stop using the lost item recovery bot as a storage device. That's not what it's there for. It's a lost item bot, it fills up with lost items. It takes dozens of activities to fill the thing. Empty it, quit being lazy.

94 RepliesYour postmaster isn’t STORAGE. Clean out your vault.

Bungo is fully aware that this is an issue, and they are fully aware that finding a fix for it is both doable and reasonable. They intentionally do not fix it for one reason. It helps to inflate their numbers. If we are forced to go to the tower every time for x,y, and z, then that ultimately keeps us on the game longer.

-blam!- all the comments here are awful

2 RepliesThe postmaster should give a 24 hour limit to items placed it, that would settle some of these problems
-
2 RepliesStop sending these posts to the forums. Clean out your inventory of junk more frequently. You dont need all slots full of weapons/armor. Problem solved. Bye 👋
-
6 RepliesAnother great thing would be a warning BEFORE we're losing items. But nooooooooo, that'd take 3 minutes effort on Bungies part, so we can get hosed.
-
1 ReplyI just lost 10 golf balls because engrams force into post master and blues from a GM completion.
-
3 RepliesLost a stack of ascendant shards to blues cause the warning system is garbage too...
-
1 ReplyOr remove the limit on our inventory. No more materials going to postmaster
-
3 Repliesalot of the postmaster problem is.... you're not aware a blue engram dropped across the map. SO IT'S WORSE THAN THAT! You're playing the game and go "oh no, I don't want this. let me take a moment, and done." You're playing the game without really worry only to come back and find out a nice sniper rifle has been pushed out of the postmaster for blue pair of pants.

8 RepliesEdited by blade329: 7/27/2022 5:26:32 AMD2 is a dismantling simulator. They load you down with blues because this game is designed to waste your time. These tools at Bungie think that maintenance is fun fun fun. Well, when your game has limited content, I guess you need to weigh down your player base with nonsense busy work.

1 ReplyWatch Paul tassi’s latest video. He’s getting hate because he spoke about how outdated the postmaster is, community often championed for some reason even though they will defend a 8 year old broken system. Death to the postmaster.

We need a autodismantle option. That way we can still get gunsmith rank and mats/glimmer, but not lose freaking Acsendent Shards for blues.
