2 RepliesEdited by BishopBlue89: 7/21/2022 12:24:59 AMBecause I am a very low-skill, casual player of a certain age who does not enjoy being constantly farmed. I recognize that there are highly skilled players out there, I am just not one of them, nor do I want to spend a ton of time "gettin' gud" to become one of them. D2 is a recreational activity for me. Similar to my Golf passion in real life, I love to play, but I have no desire (nor the talent) to play on the PGA tour or local mini tours. I just want to gradually improve at my own pace. For recreation, I do not go to Tour level courses requiring a certain handicap. When I decide to play a PGA tour course, I do not play the "pro tees" - I play the tees designed for my handicap. I don't try to "git gud" by going out and challenging college players, mini-tour players or even the club champs - I play with bogey golfers like myself - we compete with each other and have a good time. Bungie has informally implied that "if you dont want to "git gud" by having your face kicked in by the highest level players, then play another game" - so that is what I do. I go in and get farmed to earn my weekly pinnacle so I can level up for end-game content with people I enjoy and that's it...

2 RepliesWhere is the boredom option? Pvp is just boring to me, there is no reason to play it. No loot to chase, no good sandbox changes, no new maps (no, 1 new map is not enough). Im just bored from destiny overall, its not just pvp. The forums are more entertaining to be honest
-
It's just not fun for me anymore. No shade to those who love it, for real, it just...isn't fun. There are WAY better PvP options IMO, but the PvE is still pretty good with friends.

Bad connections, poor lobby balancing, void over shields, classy restoration, radiant

In D1 I used to look forward to play some PVP and IB. Who wouldn’t want a Clever Dragon or Morning Star scout? D2 PVP just stinks. I quit on it years ago it seems. I let my son play to get some bounties done to finish a season, I don’t have it in me to finish a season it looks. Pretty bad state of the game I would say. I will see what new season has to offer. I am sure IB will reek…again.
-
PvP is in desperate need of some help in more than one area. - Need more new maps. Should at least get 1 new map every season. - Fix respawns. - Add SOME level of SBMM to keep lobbies within a reasonable skill range, but not at the cost of connection quality. - Add lobby balancing. - Prioritize stacks vs stacks as long as it does not break lobby balancing.

1: Crossplay sucks 2: Match making is trash (NOT because of SBMM or CBMM) 3: Too many maps have zero competitive integrity and are balanced like -blam!- (Has nothing to do with weapons) 4: Survival is probably the worse idea as a game mode for a competitive playlist and who ever at Bungie came with the idea to put THAT as the "Comp" game mode should seriously get fired on the spot, I can't think of anything dumber. 5: They ruined ToO by making it so piss easy to get flawless 6: I miss TotN 7: I miss when the "planting and defusing the bomb" game mode was in the game (I don't remember the name) 8: Rewards SUCK

2 RepliesCbmm is the reason lobbies aren’t rubber banding enemies every second. So no one should be wanting skill based matchmaking. The problem is balancing a team around one highly ranking player with the worst of the worst people in the lobby. The game has two team captains and the worse captain hand picks their team while the best player is forced with whoever is left. I can tell who I’m going up against by player names and that’s just sad

I've grown out of my competitive pvp player phase...and my connection isn't the best, so I avoid Crucible as much as I can so I don't affect anyone too much.
-
none of your options... its because cross play sucksballs! playing playstation people over and over and having no hit registration isnt fun.
-
None of those. I still play it occasionally. I do have to say that so far I do like this sandbox update. I've never been much of a hand cannon user but I'm enjoying my seventh sereph hand cannon again. Pair with that with an incandescent staccato and I'm having some fun again. It's definitely not OP but it's enjoyable and fun to watch guardians explode into flames.

1 ReplyI’m tired of going to court and playing Jordan. Tired of surfing the ice against Wayne Gretzky. Tyrek hill ran circles around me on the field. I can’t hit verlanders fast ball on the diamond. You get it?
-
1 ReplyMultiple reasons, but I still play.

ReprimerGrinding Endgame Content - old
The meta is so terrible as well, healing metas are the worst because it’s just everyone spamming classy resto or resto then everyone can get a free 10% damage buff by hitting not killing with a melee allowing weapons like ace and other weapons to 2 tap. -
2 RepliesEdited by Yamabushi999i: 7/20/2022 12:14:27 AMVirtual removal of SBMM from the entire game. The year of the Shatterdive only to be followed by constant Invisibility spamming, with Radiant on demand spamming. Balance Bungie. 17 types and, minor inroads aside, just Handcannons being all that counts for what 4 years straight, no signs of change. Shifting 180s for 150s, for 120s, for 140s... isn't providing variation it's all just HC archetypes. The ruining of IB recently. Disjunction... Twilight Gaff...

Getting stomped on, there’s no way to improve by getting stomped on by 6 stacks or poor balancing. I wanna play against players around my skills only, and going up and down while slowly improving. I enjoy Gambit more than PvP D:

9 RepliesSo 76% of people left due to either CBMM, or the effect that CBMM and skill creep had on pvp. Pretty telling.
-
1 ReplySBMM should be permanent, also cross play must work in different way (to find people only from your platform, not same people as yourself who switched off cross play option).
-
All the above
-
Lack of worthwhile rewards and it wasn’t fun to play.
-
Poor connection quality. Teleporting, poor lobby balancing, being shot around corners, through walls. The list is endless.
-
No longer find it Fun or Rewarding. ☹️

1 ReplyEdited by Rockefeller: 7/22/2022 3:54:46 AMBad matchmaking, peer-to-peer servers, and the awful Solar rework. One hell of a mixture.
-
Why can't there be a gamemode for sbmm and another gamemode for cbmm. And just keep everyone happy. But I feel that guns in d2 have too much sticky aim an example is a rocket launcher, why do I need the strong sticky aim on a rocket, I need to lead the target. Or my shotgun, that if an enemy runs across my screen he yanks my reticle along with him. Or the snipers with aim assist that are unnecessary because when I snipe I like to feel that it was me hiting a shot, and not the game playing itself.
-
Because there's no incentive to win. Nothing to grind for. Completely pointless. Bring back Luna's and mountain top type quests!
-
All of it. Even when I wasn’t bad at crucible way back in the day I didn’t exactly have fun, but I also didn’t hate it as much as I do now. It’s just not fun, there is no balance. I say it on almost a weekly basis, this game doesn’t know what it wants to be. Without dedicated servers both forms of the game suffer and this is a PvE game that offers PvP. This game would be so much better if they scrapped PvP and kept gambit and gave that an overhaul as well as added more maps. Also enhance the PvE experience, for the love of god stop making us go do the same 7 strikes over and over again and making the maps HUGE for nothing. This game is over 100 gbs big and probably 60 of it is playable game content. The rest of it is just space that you can’t go to, or crap you look at once and move on.
