So you’re asking for less weapon diversity between archetypes?
Destiny’s in a decent spot. Most outliers are due to how the game is played and not what the game is, and a lot of issues in the PvP sandbox rn could be made better by decoupling range from zoom. Removing archetype differences would be very discouraging to the vast majority of players and make loot much more -blam!-
Edit: wow ho-mo-gen-us is a curse now.

Bungie has a very odd sense of what is offensive versus what is not.

Well, I think diversity is awesome and very needed, I wouldn't want no diversity, but most the perks for weapons are generally universal between weapons, with a few exceptions, and these perks just work for everything. Then everything is feeling like its created to be all purpose, but weapons just don't work like that. I think it would be cool to have a good list of specialized perks for each archetype. They already got it in the game to an extent, its just expanding on that part of it, while concentrating the weapons themselves to more adaptable rolls within their class. Its kind of all over at the moment. Its alright that perks work for everything, I understand the idea of simplicity there for what Bungie is trying to build, but concentrating the weapons more, while giving more expanded perk pools suited to each specific archetype, and really differentiating them between classes could go really add more to customization. Though I could argue myself, in that it might just be too time and resource consuming to do this, but I can't stress enough that if the weapons have reduced functionality to really be specialized, it should be counter-balanced with more, how I mentioned above. I don't expect this to become a reality, but I think about it alot for some reason😂. Thought I'd throw it out there.

I agree with this. Weapon type exclusive perks and more dedicated range What I don’t agree with is making archetypes within the same weapon type more similar. This would make a lot of the loot the same. Taking away options doesn’t work in a loot based game. Fix the archetypes. They’re in a mostly good spot right now with a few outliers on both sides and Bungie is buffing 4 of the worst next season.
