No, it is long gone. You missed it by more than 1.5 years to transfer. Must start over nothing to retrieve. It's all been deleted.

A license will be generated automatically from downloading Destiny 2 on Steam. You don't need a separate game key to unlock access to that download. Destiny 2 is now free to play.
i still need a working game key as i paid for the right to one.
You don’t need a key. The base game, what is left of it, is free now - on all platforms. The content that was removed from the game, with the introduction of the DCV (destiny content vault), is no longer accessible to anybody and Bungie were well within their rights to remove it as per the user agreement which we all agreed to.

You are not listening. The base D2 game is now free to play (or what's left of it). The year 1 dlc which you may have had became free to play but has been REMOVED FROM THE GAME FOR EVERYONE. From what you have said you never owned Forsaken or any later dlc. At the money you paid it was only the year one content nothing else. Forsaken was the start of year 2 so unless you paid separately for it you never had it. Also you only owned a licence to access that content which under the games terms and conditions or Eula which you agreed to allows Bungie to make any changes they want even remove content. Bungie and Blizzard emailed you about the transfer over to Steam and Bungie ran a high profile campaign on PC gaming media sites to inform everyone. It is only your fault if you did not read your emails. You had 14 months to do the transfer in which ended in December 2020.
