Yep, I think that relates to Maps again :)
Maps are small, snipers are never used in their intended ranges because maps are not that big. Therefore it even reduces the difference between snipers since the range of it, does not matter in Destiny maps. Long zooms are always overlooked, because they lower the efficiency of it. Smaller maps with plenty of covers, always makes Destiny PvP, mid-close quarters fights.
Add all that to D1's primaries then of course player didnt whine as much. Primaries in D1 were broken most of the time which arguably made PvP more fun (since there was no balance, having many broken weapons what made it more playable).
Was it the right way, I dont think so. But, I think we all remember whenever is something completely broken in PvP that's when player says "it was fun though", "at least not boring".. and Bungie owns it too... Laser tag Emblem :D

D1 with 30 frames and significantly slower movement with very few movement abilities (mostly titans) and a max of 10 sensitivity also played a part
D1 with 30 frames and significantly slower movement with very few movement abilities (mostly titans) and a max of 10 sensitivity also played a part
I'd agree. If that wasn't OK at the time. It's not reasonable to compare different norms from 10 years ago with a brand new game in a brand new genre. Which is why I defended Bungie in D1, and gave them benefit of the doubt all the time since they created something and we would all had to learn how it would works. It's not the same as making the same mistakes for 10th time. If we try to compare technology then we should start by critizing Bungie for using an outdated engine, and P2P system that make things harder for them

Not comparing them, just saying that it played a part in shaping the pvp experience
