Meh, more depth than that... Like a split personality dominating the other. One to protect, the other to cause the next evolution of conflict. -
Hmm, an original twist. Nice.

But honestly I'm going to need help. The parameters for "Protect Humanity" are probably pretty long; does Rasputin (with superluminal thought, or predictive thought) have to just protect the species so that they live on (existence struggle to exist), or does he (did he) find a way around the terms of life and death (this is what I think Ras achieved, with some help from Clovis, and the vex)...but I have a feeling it'll require what everyone would perceive as death. Like the brain scan from Upload. Digital copies in a wonderland, an engram, and when you're ready we can erase your memories and throw you back in to the past, to experience it all over again. Lots to do. -
I think he learned to shrug off the protection protocol during the Collapse. That’s how he was able to shut himself and save himself. Something about shrugging off, cause Ras was talking about how the Gardner didn’t and that’s why IT won. Or something along those lines. Could be he tricked his protocols. Seeing no way to avert the disaster he either figured out a way to get rid of it or tricked the parameters into something acceptable. Kinda like ‘ I’ll save my skin now because if any of humanity survives they’ll need me later to rebuild’, I’d call that at the least an intentional work around.

Ghost, when Sagira was in his shell, said he felt like he was dreaming, that he saw the traveler and it was so small. Then there is the dreaming mind, and while "she" was also blade transformed, I wonder exactly what, in the area we were fighting "her", was the test of the definition "she" embodies. I mean I know it was essentially in a vex consciousness. Though I feel like there are lines connecting them, I'd have to go back through each thing and work it out. I mean it seems wrong, but I'm wondering if this was the purpose for the old mystery grimoire cards, once we got bored of grinding for new weapons and armor, we were to set out and figure out the mystery behind their title, perhaps change destiny...sanecoin (reddit person) kind of got me thinking this way with his VoG crusade. -
The line from Ghost about the traveler being small was also a in D1 grimiore as well. Something about not being able to recognize itself. That they doubled down in Curse makes me wonder if they literally did it. Made the Gardner a character that doesn’t know who it is. People explored the notion back then but there was zero clues. So I think we unofficially settled on Eva Lavante lol

Oh yeah, but I think it was before the game came out that sleeping... I had to write that (and I'm leaving it, because I kind of felt stupid), but was it part of dreams of alpha lupi? I'll have to remember to re-read it again. Or wasn't there one about thousand cuts, your small as a pebble, but you hope you look beautiful? -
It was Alpha, I dug it up. Same entry for both. More interesting then I remembered. Ghost Fragment: Traveler 3 The knife had a million blades. And you were giant, powerful and swift. But the knife pinned you. Cut your godly flesh away. Very little was left, you are sure, because you feel insignificant now. The hard slick heart of your soul: That is what remains. A body small as a river stone, and just as simple. You picture yourself as a piece of indigestible grit, a nameless nothing hiding among other nameless stones. Perhaps you glitter like a gem, yes. Pride makes you hope so. If only you could see yourself. But you have no eyes. Not the dimmest sense survives. What lives is memory, and what slim portion of these thoughts can you trust? The knife stole much more than your body. https://www.ishtar-collective.net/cards/ghost-fragment-the-traveler-3?highlight=Dreams+of+Alpha

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 7/15/2022 5:00:30 AMMy first impression was a Ghost. Ghosts are metal, glass and Light then form a shell around them for protection and personality. Metal and glass = hard and slick. Nothing else comes to mind to me and it is a great narrative hook for multiple directions.

But we might get into witness speaking before cut scene. (Past ten year plan)...why this machine god chose them, (-blam!- years later) explain why your digital self is yourself and enjoy. -

Thank you. I need to process. You reminded me to go back and read it...again thank you. Smallest dust, remembering [everything], then losing it all [nothing]. But can become [everything] in eventuality, in dust. Don't get me wrong, Clovis is a total d-bag...mind wipe, savvy with sight...minds playing games. (//No ref to me, Bungie and the writers are beyond my scope of understanding) Greatest hunt is figuring it all out... -
Anytime Guardian. Lore hunting never ends!

Yeah failsafe stuff...but I have a lot to workout. You know the meme, madman with strings to different pictures all connect to one thing yet makes no sense to anyone else. So I'm trying to build a map for me to fill in, trying to get back to flowchart computer thought.
