• Greetings! The Help Forums are no place to assist in appeals of bans; however, Bungie has a guide and a contact form where you can submit an appeal for your ban. This form is for appeals, and not questions such as why or how long. If you have already submitted an appeal, then the best thing that you can do right now is wait; the forums cannot assist you further. Please note, as per the guide: There are no guarantees that a ban or suspension will be overturned, nor that an email will be responded to. Requests for additional information, such as the length of a restriction or reason for a ban, will be disregarded. Bungie’s ban and restriction policy can be found here.

If that's truly all that you had open, and you were doing nothing malicious with it, I strongly suggest you appeal; a few months ago Bungie unbanned a lot of players who had been banned for using Process Hacker as they decided it was not wrong per-se. But not all players were unbanned; clearly some of them did use Process Hacker maliciously. Edit, found the TWAB: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/50975
In December 2021, we began a survey of risky behaviors that we felt were mitigated by BattlEye. Based on the review we’ve identified 68 players that were banned in association with the use of ProcessHacker since August 2021. Of those, 61 players were identified as having no other indicators they were attempting to attack Destiny 2. These players were unbanned as of January 24th.
• Loyalty. Time played. Content purchased. Gear earned. When you started. Intent. Threats. Begging. It is all irrelevant. They make the rules. We have to follow them. Break them and they penalize you. They've had this no tolerance policy since Day 1 of D1. It won't change anytime soon. The process for BANS and RESTRICTIONS involve reports coming in from players or their flag system towards an individual. The person at Bungie HQ reviews it. And they decide if it was warranted or not. Intentionally or not your account broke the rules. Ignorance doesn't exempt you from them. Your account is done.
We do not ban players for simply having cheat tools installed, but do ban for running them while playing Destiny 2. We do not differentiate between cheat tools for Destiny 2 and cheat tools for other games because it would be easy to avoid a ban by making a Destiny 2 cheat tool that pretends to be a cheat tool for another game. Make sure you turn all cheat tools off before running Destiny 2 and you won’t have to worry about bans.
(source)
