Hi. Thanks for your report. The "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" message indicates that there is a connection issue of some kind happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an internet service provider issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs. 3. Power cycling your internet router 4. Review our guide on improving latency and packet loss to see if that might help 5. Following our Network Troubleshooting Guide for best optimizing your connection to Destiny. If issues persist, try our Advanced Steps Networking Guide for possible router solutions, such as enabling UPnP. You may also want to enable IPV6 on your router if you have it. 6. This player found a solution that involves installing new network driver 7. You may want to change your DNS server on your console to Google's Nameservers (8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4.) 8. Contact your internet service provider to see if there are any issues with your connection.
• It’s not just one person, and the fact that it happened at the same time as maintenance work and keeps happening afterwards clearly shows it’s not an issue on the player network’s side.

 • Today I have a ton of "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" and got disconnected from several instances of Raids and Tower. I can check the Network activities and there is only a TCP connection for Destiny2.exe to the server 172.97.58.86 located in US west coast, when I live and play in EU! Why is connecting me to the other side of the ocean with 390 ms that jumps to over 1200 ms ? The problem is all in your networking code and servers guys, i have less than 30 ms with any server in my continent..
