Getting rolled or rolling others, saying "GG" to an enemy team is like when two basketball teams go up against each other and at the end game the two captains on each team shake hands.
That's what "GG" basically is. If you find it insulting for a team to send such a message after they rolled you hard, then it just goes to show you that you don't understand any respect.
I've rolled many players and I've been rolled by many, regardless I get a lot of messages like "GGs" or even sorry about your carry, hope you get them flawless. I've even had people send friend requests. In fact one of my trials buddies is someone I matched and rolled them and he said "GGs". I ended up playing cards with the same guy.

It is not what I said. It is totally fine when the losing team that got steamrolled says "GG" to the winning team. But it is not fine imo to say "GG" to the team you just steamrolled. That is a major difference. The losing side has the option to say "GG" or not. But when a winning opponent, that steamrolled your team without a single sweat, says "GG", it implies from their perspective that the match "was good", while from your perspective as the defeated team (that got annihilated by them) surely won't think "that was a good game indeed". But not the rule. The people I play games with regularly are, as I described, more annoyed than relieved from hearing "GG" after a steamroll match. Not every human is the same.

Dude, it's no different if the team that rolled you says GG or the team that git rolled says GG. It's a matter of respect. If you don't understand that then maybe you shouldn't be playing online games. I've matched against plenty of good teams multiple times. Here's an example, I've matched against a streamer multiple times, she has beaten me 3 times and I've beaten her 2 times on either case we've both said ggs to each other even when I get rolled or I roll her team.
Dude, it's no different if the team that rolled you says GG or the team that git rolled says GG. It's a matter of respect.
What one person sees as respectful can be disrespectful to the other. It's not that hard to understand. It's the same with jokes. A joke can be funny to one person and unfunny/insulting to the other. This is not mad science or a spin-foil hat theory.
I've matched against plenty of good teams multiple times. Also, don't forget that streamers usually get paid via donations while a regular player doesn't get money from playing a game. You are comparing a professional player to an average player. That's like comparing apples and peaches.

Edited by Ramby: 7/11/2022 7:19:29 PMDid you really just say that streamers are professional players because they get paid from donation? If you don’t actually play competitive in any game then you’re not a professional player. Majority of these streamers you’re saying are professional players have never actually competed in tournaments. You can’t just be a professional player because random person “Bob” decided to give you money on stream. You’re just a casual player like majority of a player base for games.
-
You use the E-sports definition. I speak about players earning money by playing the game (aka Streamers in that case), like Frostbolt.
-
Edited by Ramby: 7/11/2022 7:28:13 PMThey don’t earn money by playing the game that’s the thing. It’s people donating money to them when they stream. Streamers can literally play nothing at all then just talk to chat and still have people donate money to them. Having a random person donate to you isn’t you earning money from playing the game. Earning money from playing a game would be earning it via tournaments or wagers.

Telling me to name a person is basically trying to bait me to "name and shame" which will get me temp ban on fourms. So again learn what respect is before you try to bait a person to break the rules of fourms.... Also your entirely wrong on everything you said. Because comparing what I said to "jokes" where one person likes it and the other finds it insultive is wrong and there isn't any comparison. Stop being soft hearted taking insults from nothing. Respectfully, grow up.

By naming a streamer (who is a public person) you are not violating the CoC. If you however post the name of a proven cheater that can be publicly harassed, THEN it is "name and shame".
So again learn what respect is before you try to bait a person to break the rules of fourms....
And again, you are not violating the Code of Conduct when naming a streamer or player unless they sell/use cheats, hacks or sorts of that. I name Soupreem, one of my friends. Am I now violating the CoC? NO!
Also your entirely wrong on everything you said. Because comparing what I said to "jokes" where one person likes it and the other finds it insultive is wrong and there isn't any comparison.
Ok prove it. Prove what you say.
Stop being soft hearted taking insults from nothing. Respectfully, grow up.
I am a 23y old person that is very tolerant and respectful at any moment IRL. I am "grown up" enough. Edit: But I see we are not getting anywhere with your mindset. So, see this as last response to you.

If you’re “grown up” enough you would wouldn’t be on there forums complaining about something this trivial.

Edited by Talia Sendua: 7/11/2022 7:26:36 PMAha, so having a discussion topic about something that is trivial to you and a few others is not "grown up". Guess I go tell every other posters that give feedback about trivial problems the same. Good advice, man /s

You’re complaining about someone/people saying “GG”. I would say yeah it’s something pretty trivial.
