    What if one of the linked accounts is unable to be authenticated due to the authorization no longer being valid?

  • You would need to unlink the account from your profile and then relink it. This should re-authorize the account. Click on your profile picture in the upper right, then click on Settings. In the Accounts and Linking section, scroll to the account you wish to unlink and press the Unlink button. Then you can relink your account. Please note that you need to be able to authenticate the account in order to relink it.

    Unfortunately, that particular account is not accessible as it was last used in Rise of Iron and the authorization information is no longer valid as of present date. In other words, the email is no longer in the picture if you know what I mean. Even if I remembered the password I would still have to guess what email was connected to it, which all options are all out of the picture. I would prefer to unlink it entirely however, that does not appear to be an option as it directs me to log into the account to do that.

  • Correct. In order for any platform account to be removed from any profile, you must be able to authenticate the account. Bungie does not remove any accounts from any profile for any reason, as this would be considered unauthorized. If you do not remember the login information, you will need to contact your platform's support team for further assistance on what options are available.

    Thanks for all the help. I was able to work with PlayStation to get that issue resolved and am now able to use cross save. I appreciate the information you provided.
