I’m going to explain something very basic to you. You live in Newfoundland When you order something from Amazon it comes from a warehouse near you and at most is a few days truck ride away. Bungie is likely shipping these from the US meaning they have to take a plane ride over to you before then also taking a few days truck ride and also go through customs. Air freight is not cheap. $285 is likely very fair depending on the package size You can’t compare this to Amazon purchases where the items were imported to your area in bulk (cutting cost on freight and customs fees)

  • 1 its standard shipping not air fair soooo 2 bungie themselves have since posted thanks to post like mine that they will try and fix and give canadian buyers a chance 3 its a nation's wide problem, did you know 80% of Canadians live within 200 miles of the US border now I'm nooooo expert but 200 miles is alot closer thatn California is to where bungie is ...and I've seen several comments that west coast American shipping is between 25-35$ and east coast shipping is like 21$ .... 4 before you say "its cause your taxes because your free health care or some nonsense" this is just shipping not duties or taxes which I would have had to play later making this probably an 800cad item as is 5 you try and seem smart yes Amazon isn't the best example because they do have a warehouse 1600 km from me in Ontario maybe bungie is farther away maybe not but how about this chapters book store shipped me a lego set for free from the opposite side of the country, im not choosing xpress shipping bud , its plane Jane standard international and I've gotten things from America before and its never been 100 more than what I wanted to buy 285 $ shipping to send a 185$ item on the same continent is absurd, you will not change my mind, I know how big nerf guns come disassembled, I've seen the size of the box for tye iron ghorn , a 2.5 foot by 2.5 foot by 1.4 foot box doesn't need to cost 285 to ship

  • A 2.5ft by 2.5ft by 1.4ft box can easily cost $200+ to ship. The last UPS shipment I handled for work that went to Ontario was about $165 for a 14” x 14” x 14” of similar value. (But half the size) I’m in oregon. Only a few hours drive south of Bungie. And Ontario is much closer than Newfoundland Also that was like 6 months ago when shipments were cheaper, and that was our cost to ship, not counting packaging or the labor handling customs declaration paperwork
