Ghosts suppress all Guardians memories, Human,Exo and Awoken when being chosen , to prevent there past from interfering with there duty to protect the Traveler
My question is, why are there Exo Guardians in the first place, if Ghosts can resurrect hundred year old bones and flesh, why doesn't it just rez them has there human version?

Cause your body is lost

They need some part of you in order to revive. It’s why Savathun’s body was taken and hidden, because her Ghost needs some piece of her body in order to revive her, and Ikora wants to avoid that. When we were revived, the Ghost did so from our time-worn bones.

That doesn't explain the times when our body gets completely eradicated , but maybe ghost has a copy of us in its back up files -
The No Rez for the Weary entry in Ghost Stories Lorebook has a theory that ghost’s pull a template of us from an alternate timeline

I believe ghost stories says something about how they pull us from an alternate timeline when Rezzing us, so in Darkness zones when we die, there is no other timeline where we survive, thusly our light fades away. This whole timeline thing kinda enforces my idea of ghosts being part Vex, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

Ah, that is just speculation from Ghosts. They have a few ideas but they don’t know how it works. That ideas major flaw is, different timelines play out differently. So while the body is there, the mind is different. So that would cause problems. The template idea makes more sense, a digital copy of us stays in the Ghost. It could be something and we won’t be able to tell until they spill or or it’s nothing and never gets addressed. They might not so they can apply the same mechanic later when there is no Darkness. The initial revival requires remains because it needs something to scan to see if you’re worthy. After revival, you are bonded to the Ghost somehow. After that, it can revive you even after total molecular disintegration.

Technically I believe our ashes as we get evaporated count enough to rez us from. That being said, gameplay doesn’t always mesh with lore. For example, in Raids, you can wipe to restart the encounter, but lorewise, us Guardians have never lost a single Raid. Our rez and revives lorewise need something physical to rez us from, but in gameplay we can come back from being less than a thought.

Yeah that's kind of how I see it, when we're disintegrated our atoms are still there to be pulled back together and rezzed
