I prefer seasons. We get the same amount of content, just spread out instead of 1 big drop. Also, we get the chance to take breaks from the game without missing out. Those last couple weeks of a season allow you to take a break and recharge for the next season. I didn't enjoy content droughts in d1. And I wouldn't enjoy them in d2. I'd rather have a steady stream of content instead of 1 big drop, then nothing for 8 months.

  • One big drop means you can actually enjoy it… imagine the massive DLC where after you defeat Savathun (+3 extra strikes!) you hop onto the Leviathan and new things open up. Then we get an April update with a reprised raid, strike, crucible map, a couple new weapons, and we’re good. Same content, but you can actually play it. The only reason the can’t do that is they charge more for this.

  • I'm actually enjoying the seasonal content. The only thing i dont like is the time gated-ness of the seasonal story, but i understand. Having it all dropped at once would be nice, but you're ignoring that once it dropped, there would be no update. When they gave us everything at once, that was it. We just had to wait for them to unlock it to access it, but they didnt add anything else to the game until the next content drop. And it was usually 6-8 months of not having anything added, which was not good. Has nothing to do with cost cause we get to play the same amount of content now. The only thing the seasonal model does is break it up and keep people from burning through it in a month, and complaining for more content. If we are honest with ourselves, there is no way bungie can realistically produce enough content to keep up with us (gamers). No matter the amount, we'd burn through it, then turn around and complain for more. They learned this is d1 when they tried to have dlc drop ever 3 months, including a new raid. They realized it wasnt a realistic model and they couldnt keep it, while getting yelled at by us asking for more.
