Lemme just give you a piece of advice, I checked your reports, and you are a loser on this forum that plays this game too seriously from first glance, a quick pro-tip from someone who stepped outside today, stop making this forum your only source of entertainment, you have such a long life ahead of you! Strongly doubt you can do anything with it to be seriously honest, you might just die from a lack of Vitamin D. Anyways hope you find a purpose in life rather than being the critique headass in a forum thinking you're smarter than everybody else, maybe you can start thinking that when you get a few upvotes and some good takes out on this wasteland that you call your home. Get a life and maybe a girlfriend (tough luck!) and some Vitamin D. Good luck, I feel like your gonna need it! Blocked :) (stop wasting peoples time for attention)

This game will never be competitive in any sense compared to actual competitive pvp games so stop trying to make it seem like trials is some super elite pvp mode when every pvp match feels the same
This game will never be competitive in any sense compared to actual competitive pvp games so stop trying to make it seem like trials is some super elite pvp mode when every pvp match feels the same
Sorry but trials is d2s more competitive mode.
-
Call it what you want, but it won’t be a competitive mode in a game where every game mode feels just as competitive. Trials at this point is an easier ascendant shard farm with how gms are this season, unless it’s lake of shadows
-
Call it what you want, but it won’t be a competitive mode in a game where every game mode feels just as competitive.
This isn't close to true, a typical 6vs6 quickplqy game isn't close to the intensity of trials matches
Trials at this point is an easier ascendant shard farm with how gms are this season, unless it’s lake of shadows
How do you figure that exactly?
-
Get to seven wins and grind out. Ascendant shards every other match. That’s all it is. Oh and even regular elim matches are just as sweaty. Call trials whatever you want it’s no competitive experience similar to actual comptetitive games. Bungie wants it to be the next csgo or rainbow but the fact is it’s not with how ability spam works in destiny
-
Get to seven wins and grind out. Ascendant shards every other match. That’s all it is.
Don't you only get those if you continue to win matches? As soon as you lose flawless you're done no? I thought that was how it worked but I guess I usually just stop after losing so maybe not
Oh and even regular elim matches are just as sweaty.
Of course, those are sbmm enabled
Call trials whatever you want it’s no competitive experience similar to actual comptetitive games. Bungie wants it to be the next csgo or rainbow but the fact is it’s not with how ability spam works in destiny
No destiny will NEVER EVER be competitive like how Halo is, but trials IS INDISPUTABLY the highest competitive mode we have - especially looking at lasts weeks mm
-
Okay if we’re basing this on technicals then comp is the e most competitive game mode for pvp as it literally has competitive features like a ranking system and sbmm
-
Comp today is literally get heavy each round for the easy win....
-
No it's not, there's nothing end game about trials... If a giant monster popped out of the ground and... Oh wait that's gambit, aka where the fun is at.
-
No it's not, there's nothing end game about trials...
It's literally the most focal endgame pvp mode in the game...
If a giant monster popped out of the ground and...
Wait so only pve can be endgame?
Oh wait that's gambit, aka where the fun is at.
Gambit is where the fun is at? 🤣😂
-
Anyone with a minor time investment, can go into trials and complete a match, it is not end game. Anyone can even win a match, even me, and I am literally one of the worst PvP players in the game. Their is nothing end game about trials, it's a normal pvp mode that people get hyped up about, because flawless, is an end game achievement, just like any of the other titles, which anyone can complete.
Anyone with a minor time investment, can go into trials and complete a match, it is not end game.
Their is nothing end game about trials, it's a normal pvp mode that people get hyped up about, because flawless, is an end game achievement, just like any of the other titles, which anyone can complete.
You tried calling gambit endgame because a boss comes out of the ground bud - when anyone can win a gambit match. This conversation is beyond your scope, may as well move on to other topics, gambit is endgame but trials isnt...lmao!
-
It was an obvious joke, I was comparing trials to gambit as a joke because, it is as much a joke as gambit is. It takes more time to complete the beyond light campaign, or shadow keep than it takes to get access to trials. It is not a selectively gated activity requiring you have a certain power level, all you have to do is complete a set of crucible levels which any lurp, like myself can do. Grandmaster nightfalls, is obviously an end game activity, very few players even qualify for it. Trials is basically Iron Banner, except Iron Banner is control. All trials is, is a Glory rank PvP mode that offers some nice armor, and if you win 7 matches a trip to the light house. Going Flawless, is an end game activity but playing trials is something any player with a week in game can do. It take a least a month to get access to Grand Master Nightfalls. This isn't an argument of PVE versus PVP, it's just theirs nothing different about the trials maps, the competition is the exact same in most other modes, so I'm baffled by how this washed up game set is suddenly an end game activity when the only thing different are the rewards. It's the same game made as other crucible maps. It doesn't require preset teams, or ranking brackets or anything that would make it a competitive end game activity, you can random queue for it... It's a normal game mode with good rewards if you can get the achievement. The achievement is end game, everything else is routine Blaise pvp.. Well, the music, I forgot, the music is pretty incredible, it's epic.. The trials intro music is end game too, but everything else but the flawless achievement and intro music is just a routine activity.
-
Same with raids though. You can enter with as low light as you want, it's still endgame. Maybe be a little careful trying to lecture people about a gamemode you have less than 100 games played and only 12 wins in...
-
My god, you almost have 6 months of played time on this game, over 3000 hours, How!!! Why!!!
-
It's my hobby😉
-
Hey, as long as it's still fun keep on trucking

Edited by Super_BATDAD: 11/5/2021 5:55:42 PMOh, when I run trials it's with a grenade main, I know I suck and I do not care it's just for fun. I actively run sweet business and completely reject the games meta. I do this for fun, and man it's awesome when someone dies to me, a player with a .12 KDR in trials, that's hilarious, so yeah I suck at trials. That's the point I am making, a player as awful as me, who literally drinks whiskey and plays drunk can wander into what is supposed to be the most elite PvP game mode.. Theres nothing exclusive about it. The difference between Raids and trials is this, trials is recycled maps from the crucible play list, it also allows random teams and anyone can do random queue for it. It is not an exclusive activity. Raids have no queue, and are actively designed content with unique encounters for that special group running it. Anyone prattling about trials as this elite and exclusive mode is completely in denial. It's the same maps, same pool of people the only difference is the loot, not an end game activity, end game means after the main game. If people want it to be an exclusive mode, than make it exclusive. Flawless, the achievement, is an end game activity, or should be an end game activity, but trials is a regular crucibles map mode with absolutely nothing special about it. Lastly, your whole post essentially is just saying, shut up, I am the elite, you must respect my incredible incredibleness and agree peon. I don't want to go flawless, and I don't care about the titles and achievements and shiny widgets, I play the game because it's fun to play. I play trials, almost exclusively for it's intro music and the mode is fun, I have no plan or intention to ever go flawless but I will keep playing trials until they make it an exclusive game mode, maybe you will be lucky and get me as a teammate 😂

I don't care about your stats or performance at all. My point was that you have very little experience with the gamemode, and thus have a limited foundation to base your assumptions on. Nothing more, nothing less😉 My opinion is not more valid than anyone else's, it's just an opinion. Facts are a different story though, and trials is factually endgame content. Bungie says do and the director says so as well. Trials and IB are both endgame pvp. Same as nightfalls and raids are endgame pve. I never said that trials is elite or exclusive, only endgame. By your logic then GMs can't be endgame either. They're just strikes on the same old maps with loot beeing the only difference. I don't think many people would agree if you claim that GMs aren't endgame content. And finally you flaum that flawless, not trials, is endgame. That makes no sense bro. That's like saying master VOG isn't endgame, only the final chest is... Flawless is the reward, while trials is the endgame activity. The fact that you can join and get kills and stuff doesn't mean that it's not endgame. Like I said, I can hop into a GM by myself and kill enemies, probably woun't be able to complete it. It's still an endgame activity.
-
Flawless is not the reward in trials, flawless is essentially Dredgen, it is an exclusive accomplishment from the best players, or it is supposed to be that. Yeah I think Trials and Iron Banner are just normal ordinary game modes. I don't see anything special about them, except the music in Trials, the music is great.
-
I wasn't referring to the title, I meant the fact of going flawless😉
-
I don't know, 90 matches is 90 matches, it's not insignificant, but if a terrible and brand new player can show up in an "exclusive" mode, it's not exclusive. Apex Legends, for instance has rated pools, this goes from bronze all the way to Apex predator, and you generally only rank against similarly matched players in that ladder and all are battling for that top ranking. The Apex Predator ranking pool in Apex Legends is an exclusive ranking, flawless should also be considered an exclusive ranking. Destiny is not a serious pvp game and it's not willing to implement the controls or systems to make a serious ranked game mode. One doesn't need months of play time to understand that the pvp system in this game does not contain any serious or exclusive game modes. That doesn't mean that pvp is bad, or that it isn't fun, it just means that it's accessible to most players.

Edited by Nurz3: 11/5/2021 9:04:28 PMI think that you are mixing your peas a bit here. You're comparing it to the ranked system in Apex, when trials is not a ranked playlist. Comp is the ranked playlist. Unfortunatly comp is sbmm, which ruins it. It used to be rank-based matchmaking, but due to people complaining when they couldn't reach high rank it got changed. Endgame pvp does not mean that it's "exclusive" or only for the best. IB is also concidered endgame pvp, although a lighter version. Trials has never been a ranked playlist. It's a tournament-mode where everyone can join, but not everyone can make it all the way. I really wish Bungie could make comp into a proper ranked mode. I think that is what a lot of people are asking for. Leagues are made for sbmm, tourney not so much...
