Hi there! If you are receiving blue screen crashes, this normally means you are having some sort of OS or hardware level errors. You can look for the specific error codes by searching for "bugcheck" in your event viewer. If you have the blue screen crash error message, this would also help. Also, please provide your system specs.

  • Bugcheck error codes will register in the Application logs. I believe they log as an informational event. If you search bugcheck, you should be able to find it.

  • I can't find a code that matches that description. You shouldn't need to go into the details of the code. I'm looking for a code that matches the code I mentioned earlier. If you take off that search filter and look at the events before and after, there should be an Informational event code that states what the bug check code was, with a 0x0 as part of it.

  • The error message highlighted is not the error message I was necessarily looking for. That message simply indicated that you system shut down unexpectedly, which we already know due to you receiving a blue screen error message. You would need to go "later" in the day to find the bug check error code.

  • I found another log named "error" that says "The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 "

  • This error code suggests that you are having some form of hardware failure. Microsoft Doc: 0x0124 On your PC, please type CMD. Then, click on Run As Administrator. You are going to want to run two commands. - chkdsk C: /f (replace C: with your system OS disk) -sfc /scannow Let each command complete fully before you proceed. If it does not find any errors, you are going to want to run the Windows Memory Diagnostics tool to determine if you have any memory related issue.

  • No, the second option. I added that note just in case you had any special configuration. If you launched CMD and it prompted you with C:\, then just run it with C:

i tried the first command and it responed with: "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)"

  • Just do Yes and restart when possible. You can try the other command. Once your machine restarts, it will do the check disk and fix any errors it may find. None of your files should be affected by this.

  • the second command is done, after the verification was completed it said: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag." going to restart pc

  • So that indicates that something on your OS or system file was corrupted. So we may have corrected the issue. But, I would let check disk run as well just to verify it. Then, try launching the game again. If the issue re-occurs, I would consider making plans to reinstall your OS.

  • Reinstalling your OS is essentially wiping your machine clean and reinstalling the operating system. I do not recommend doing this if you are unsure on how to do this, as this is quite an advanced undertaking to do. I've done plenty on my own, but I do know how I'm building these. But, the fact that you are experiencing these bluescreen error messages suggests that you have a bigger issue ongoing. The problem is there's really no way to indicate as to what's failing.
