On all three classes, but obviously the worst is Titan. Everything is so oversized and big. I played the original destiny in the past, and during lockdown picked up this one. I am 200 hours in so I can give a fair opinion at this point. But why are all the outfits... kinda ugly?
I mean Hunter has some decent ones and the hood helps cover some of the bad helmet designs, but almost all the Titan armor and a good portion of the Warlock armor are way too bulky and often times just plain ugly. It probably is turning off a lot of potential players/payers.
The first game had such a nice aesthetic, but this one not nearly as much. I would go on about just how awful the lighting is, especially in the Tower. Or how bad the character creator and faces are. But you see the outfits a lot more than any of that, and they just look bad.
I've tried many mixes of colors and pieces, even spent money on some premium items which were just as bad or marginally worse. My warlock often feels like she is wearing cheap drapes and my Titan often feels like he is a buzz lightyear toy. Both of them feel like their outfits are too thick? bulky? Like my warlock is like she is wearing 5 layers, can't see her shape at all. Same with my Titan who is wearing a plastic suit 3x the size of his body.
Am I just out of fashion? Maybe I am getting old, I notice a lot of new games are looking just... ugly. But it isn't really hip or cool, and aesthetic is one of the biggest make or break points of games for many people. They want money yes?

4 RepliesI mean, Titans are Titans. It's part of their image to be an imposing sight.

1 ReplyIve gotten use to the bulkiness, so much so that I prefer it. Looking back at D1 Titan armor sets, with a few exception, they look off.

I agree, I'm just a new player, but I fell in love with the games vistas and story, and even the gameplay, as frustrating as some things can be at times, has pulled me away from Combat Evolved PvP, which was my jam back in the day and I've been loving it like mad since it was released on PC. But it's been frustrating trying to find a look that feels right, which I find incredible since Noble Six looked perfect to me.
