Contest mode for dungeons makes no sense
It’s not a raid not a worlds first race why your killing the day 1 experince for many people who get day1 dungeons adding contest mode kills the experience in dungeons bungie you screwed up i understand for new raids but dungeons who suggested this to bungie

4 RepliesThanks, i was wondering if everybody was ok with it. I never cared a lot about new dungeons, but i dislike the contest mode and worlds first race -blam!-. I just don't get the deal with running a raid for 10+ hours straight. With dungeons being easier mechanic wise whats the point in contest? Who cares about a dungeon wolrds first race?

Damn, that is so hard to make a decision for, I know others like me would love to engage with contest mode for fun, even if it is a day, watching others and stuff. Though hopping in, experiencing it without outside pressure does change the experience. Are there any compromises for both sides that we can agree on? I hope there is. I wish we could hop into a time machine to do both experiences.

Get over it. They are making people earn their day one clears in this dungeon. You can attempt it or not. 48 hours later it'll be on super easy mode.

I believe a lots of people was asking for this for a longtime. No that matter to me also i am fine with someone enjoying this for few days and who don’t want can play right after it’s gone so I don’t see a big issue here.

It got added because people have been asking for it for a while. It'll be 48 hours at most and then you have until the servers turn off to run it. It will be okay.

Agreed. I love going in day one with 2 or 3 people and fumbling around trying to learn the mechanics. This is just going to make me not want to play the dungeon at all. Why can't they just make it contest and normal at the same time. People ask for this all the time. No one will care about a world's first dungeon completion. You get nothing special from it.
