TFS was average IMO.
Once I completed, I was overloaded with stuff that was so confusing I had no desire to grind it and I always did before...
Then the announcements and I really have no desire to do anything else especially after hearing about the layoffs, and no Destiny 3 or direction for Destiny 2.
I have to say, I think this is the end for Destiny/Bungie. I don't think Marathon makes it and you'l either see them pivot to a Destiny 3 or dissolve the studio into Sony.
TFS was average IMO.
I’d rate it below Beyond Light, definitely worse than Witch Queen, slightly better than Lightfall. The original Red War campaign was way better, shame it got vaulted along with other story content that was superior to what it’s devolved to now.

Edited by Howiepenguin: 8/12/2024 6:10:14 AMRed War was a great campaign. But the changes to gameplay as a whole was devastating going from D1 to D2. Most if not almost all hated the change and if there was no pivot they would have had to shutter the studio all together. If not for Forsaken there would have been no conclusion to the current story. Edit: I still remember a dev, pretty sure is was Luke, that asked a question similar to the, "Do you not have phones?" Comment that a Diablo dev spouted that was something like, "Fixed rolls means every weapon is a God roll. Isn't that better?" paraphrasing, but I remember reading it and getting furious reading it.
