Destiny is a shell of it's former self and that's due to its "live service model"
The devs, the people that actually make the game want to make fun engaging games. Unfortunately the bean counters higher up make these calls.
Devs have to build games to certain metrics nowadays, fun rarely comes into the conversation.
It's purely based around
Cost to build
Time to build
Upkeep
Sales and add on sales
Player engagement time
When you mix these build prerequisites into a mmo, RPG , looter shooter you have the recipe for the perfect storm when it comes to grind.
Your banging your head against a wall asking for change, it will never get better, it will only get worse. Do yourself a favor and get back to enjoying gaming by playing single player games
