FWIW: The compelling reason to grind invasions was (initially) to acquire the red crystal. Once done, I do invasions more as a quick fix of Destiny on those days when I just want to log off…or have little time.
Personally, I’ve never understood the gripes of a 1:1 as opposed to a 1:3…🤔
I’d prefer to select the option to go 1:1 every time!

I'm glad to see you here putting down some common sense. How can one imagine it's unfair to a group of three to verse one guy? Just use your brain and turn away from the mobs for a bit. I've had so many invaders where I just hunt them down and absolutely destroy them and I've had invasions where I literally use up all of their revives and ruin the entire game for them. I love PvPvE; it's the main thing that kept me playing Elden Ring until level 630. If I could invade for no rewards but do it infinitely I would. Hunting the hunter? Predator becomes prey? Coming out on top of stacked odds? Invasions are amazing; both as the team AND the invader.
