Can't lie, Marathon is looking pretty tasty now. I'm definitely giving it a whirl.

I feel that. Bungie has mismanaged the relationship the degree that Destiny players who otherwise potentially could be interested in Marathon as a side-game will never touch it out of pure spite. Personally i dont even know who marathon is for. What are they bringing to the genre that doesnt already exist in a better and/or bigger form? I'm not ruling out that initial sales will be "ok" - less than they hoped but probably better than most of us would expect - but I'm also leaning toward it being on life-support within a month. Because unlike Destiny - which was somewhat groundbreaking when it came out and where we got used to the drip-feeding and shallow content - people - and particulary non-Destiny players - are not going to put up with it in a genre where there's actual competition.
