Aye, insomnia’s the worst. I get it for weeks at a time sometimes. There are things you can do to help—consistent sleep schedule, [i]not[/i] getting on your phone or getting up for any reason, making sure your bed is used only for sleeping, etc.—but nothing surefire. Somtimes ya just got insomnia and that’s that.

  • I've been making a point of not eating before bed, and I've been getting a better night's sleep, but it's harder to fall asleep. If I could eat something I think I'd be out in ten minutes flat, but that's not happening, and I don't want to take a pill. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll give them a try. *sigh* It's always the simple things that are the most elusive.

  • Eating before bed usually helps me as long as it’s nothing sugary, but in my case, it’s because I probably didn’t eat enough during the day anyway and only realized I’m hungry once bedtime rolls around. Going to sleep hungry is very hard.
