I've been playing this game since 2014 and its really sad to see it strangle to maintain a descent player base. I also think that Bungie is looking at this with a compete wrong way. A year to rebuild this game is necessary and cannot be avoided anymore and I'm here with a few suggestions. First thing first, planetary activities. Its nice to play raids, dungeons, strikes and nightfalls but for how long and how many times. Having planetary activities like escalation protocol from back in the day would be an amazing content to spent time on planets. An event which gets more difficult as you progress and of course it rewards you accordingly. Now the events on the planets and the activities which are there are useless but making such an addition which actual good loot that can be obtained if reached the max level would be nice. In short term, what i mean by this is make the planets more involved in the game. There is no reason right now to go anywhere that you dont have a mission or a quest and the planets are empty. Another thing now that can be improved is the rarity system. When you get a legendary now it doesnt feel that legendary. Also when you get an exotic its just another exotic. Make the rarity system like destiny 1. Legendary gear shouldn't be the easy to get gear. Same with the exotics. Back in the day when you got an exotic you would be hyped about it, but now the feeling of getting an exotic is gone. Make exotics feel like exotics. There is no rarity system right now and the fact that Bungie removes all the grind and the purpose of an rpg game with giving a maxed out gear is not good. We lost our way as an rpg game and this need to be fixed. One last thing i want to mention is the missing content. I understand bringing it back will take time and alot of effort but it has to happen. Bringing back the mission as playable experience with no rewards is a good solution. Put the mission on the timeline and let players access them just for experience not the rewards. For newer players this will be so much better. Same with the dlc that are not currently active. Place the mission in the timeline and let players experience them and use the planetary activities to gain the rewards from quests and activities such as a similar activity with the escalation protocol mentioned above. As for the raids, make one raid available each year. This should give enough time to work and rebuild the raids to the standards of the current form of destiny 2. Also, its time to bring destiny 1 items to d2 and rename the game destiny if we aren't going to get a d3. This game still has so much potential and i believe that if we dedicated a year or two to make improvements to the already existing content and not bring new one would be nice. But, if bringing new content is so necessary, make seasons that will tease the up coming 10 year plan. I want this game to come at the top as it deserves. I hope Bungie can finally wake up cuz there is still hope....
