I hope there are ways to upgrade the Tier of Gear with Resources.
Tiers have me concerned.
People have worked hard to Masterwork the Gear they had to Grind for. Plus we have all these resources we've earned over the years too.
I hope they add a method to upgrade the Tier of a piece of Gear with Resources.

The tiering system will not make any gear substantially better. The new gear bonus is the only change that even somewhat competes with your old gear and your old gear won’t get that regardless. Otherwise, perk, origin trait, and weapon subtype power creep are the only things that’re gonna get you off your old gear: aka what we have already had since Beyond Light.

That’s not going to happen. Bungie is doing this to sunset your gear and make you re-grind for your entire vault. Upgrading all your current stuff to tier 5’s would defeat that.

Edited by SmudgeOnTheLenz: 6/23/2025 5:38:34 PMThere is not a method to upgrade current armor with tiers or new armor from 1 tier to another. There would be no reason for anyone to do anything other than get all the stats we want now and then upgrade on Day 1.
