In my Tortured Poet Era old

Petra Venj x Uldren Sov?

here's how I came to this conclusion. 1. In the same lore, Jolyon says "I'm not interested in your secrets. Please." So there's a secret, and it probably has something to do with Uldren. 2. While he was mad, Uldren doesn't remember Jolyon, his best friend. But he does seem to remember Petra, and doesn't seem to be completely hostile to her. 3. Lore book Most Loyal: Reacquaintance "Petra Venj and Uldren Sov had long admired one another; there was an easiness about them when they were together, and a deep if unspoken affection. When the two of them joined forces in the field of battle, they were quick, effective, and dangerous. Theirs was a dance of death, and woe to the foe who met them in open combat." 4. Whenever you approach the NPCs, they say stuff. In the Dreaming City, she once said, "I can't excuse Uldren's crimes, bit sometimes, I can't help it, I miss him." You'd have to know him as a lot more than an aggravating snot to actually miss him. Before that, while doing the campaign Forsaken, I heard Petra Venj in Spider's lair saying "If Uldren thinks our past is going to stay my hand, he's mistaken." She basically implies that they had a past together. Here's my conclusion: I think that Uldren Sov and Petra Venj were in love. It's not really Petra and Cayde, because first of all, Cayde kind of flirted with a lot of different people, but Amanda Holliday now has Cayde's cloak, which would imply that they were together. And then the reason that Petra is really upset about Cayde's death is because she blames herself. She's never said why she blames herself, but I think I know why. Why would she put Uldren in prison in the first place? He'd already killed a lot of people. She was known for being rather vengeful already, I would've expected her to just kill him and be done with it. But if this is true then it could possibly be one of Bungie's greatest Easter eggs and I think it will definitely be covered in The Witch Queen. Uldren and Petra makes more sense. Plus, we all know that they were at least REALLY good friends, but Uldren often didn't seem to care about anyone at all besides Mara, and Jolyon, both of whom he's known for thousands and thousands of years. Plus he's one of the original 891 yet he never seemed to think of Petra as a "child" like everyone else did. During forsaken she talks quite a lot about killing him considering that she didn't. Its clearly just talk. I will argue this point to my death because I have thought this ever since first completing forsaken in December and also because I don't surrender my opinions when they're unpopular.

  • Although I don’t think so personally, I do like this ship! I’m pretty sure Bungie has mentioned to a few fans now though that Petra has feelings for Mara.

  • Amanda Holiday and Crow already have a healthy head start.

    • tbh, i feel like petra had feelings for uldren but uldren didn’t have feelings for her mainly because uldren mostly cared to please his sister, and i feel that took up most of his attention. next in line would be jolyon since they were best friends (and some might even argue lovers) but either way, my take is uldren didn’t care for petra as much as she did for him nowadays petra’s all about queen mara! which is also a lost cause… poor petra :(

No. The secret was with Cyade and Petra putting him in the prison, and then you and Petra shooting him at the same time at the end of Forsaken. It has nothing to do with Petra and Uldren liking each other

Holiday has Caydes cloak because they were together? They were friends. Not everyone has to be screwing each other

            • Both guns sound off in the cutscene. Because ultimately it doesn’t matter who pulled the trigger, so long as one of us did the other stood by and watched. The only innocent party is our Ghost, who tried to speak against the execution.

              • Except she did shoot him. With the Vestian Dynasty she gives you at the end of the campaign. Telling you to get it out of her sight. Add in we had to tune Ace of Spades to our own light before we could use it. The sound wasn't a heavy sounding Hand cannon either. Little snippets here and there. If she had a past with him I'm all ears. But those few bits I'm contending.

In my Tortured Poet Era - old

*To all the Uldren haters out there, I ask you to remember a few things before you hate* *Also I'm not a pacifist I'm an enneagram four and I can't help understanding people even if they arent real because destiny characters are so freaking deep* It's easy to hate people, even in real life, when you don't like their behavior, but when you start to understand what's really going on in their life, you usually start to understand them better. Does that make their behavior right? No. But it's better to understand. The reason he's basically obsessed with his sister is because she's the only family he has left. I've never heard a single thing about their dad so it's reasonable to assume they grew up with just their mother, Osana, who then decided she'd rather stay where she was comfortable and never see her children again. He wants her to care about him because he's probably afraid that she'll leave him too. He has so many secrets but no one to actually share them with because his only real friend hates secrets and won't let him tell him any. he was like super lonely. He might be super horrible to us but we dont know him. the people who know him (Mara, Jolyon, Petra) he's a lot better to. He hated guardians. Are any of us nice to people we hate? Uldren Sov was not a murderer! He may have killed guardians sure but never final deaths. He did care about the Awoken. He wasn't himself when he murdered Cayde. He probably hit his head a little too hard when he crashed on Mars plus riven.... Overall I don't think Uldren Sov was in his normal mind a bad person. I think he was an arrogant snot and Crow is better but the evil murderer was all after something happened to him. classic misunderstood villain. I think that once he remembers his past, he'll be able to take what he's learned as Crow and really become his best self. Maybe even atone for his past and help unite the City and the Reef. I have high hopes for this guy. But I will say, I'm also the kinda person who likes to believe the best about everyone. You're entitled to your own opinions. This is just where I'm coming from. I think it would be nice for him to have had someone else to care about that actually also cared about him.
