I will be having the best game ever, 2.0 or 3.0 kd and then I end up losing the game because my two teammates decides to bust out the .33. It's near impossible to make much progress. Any tips?

Edited by Unbrandedpie: 6/24/2021 6:12:39 PMThe fact you’re playing it with no ritual reward tied to it is concerning…
-
Idk man Once I notice my teammates are getting hard carried I start jumping off the map, no point in trying if your team won’t 😂

Edited by Novoca1ne: 6/25/2021 12:36:20 AMProblem is not teammates. Problem is Bungie linking quests\catalysts\weekly challenges to PVP. I am forced to play PVP to complete these despite having no interest in PVP whatsoever therefore I just join a random team and concentrate on MY objectives. I don't give a damn about winning (unless it's an objective requirement) or KD ratios etc etc.

Welcome to the solo experience in this game.
-
Comp needs to be removed, this game was never meant to be played sweaty. No dedicated servers and terrible lag makes this pvp an arcade above all else. Trials should be removed too, its a pointless mode where majority of players are literally tossing themselves off the maps to complete bounties. The cheaters are the ones with god rolled trials weapons which is messed up.

I’ll let you into a lil’ secret if you promise not to tell everyone...
it’s all pointless
This is how trials with matchmaking will turn out to be.

Lose two in a row and take a break. Don't worry about your team mates and just don't give up. I hit legend last season through perseverance.

Yeah it’s a little odd, when the implementation of solo que came out, The comp weapons were still a thing to get. So a lot of people were jumping in for the easy ascension to not forgotten, then after everything got sunset and put into the vault exotic vendor. A lot of the people stoped playing, this makes the player pool smaller and if you get matched with a below average player your nearly Guaranteed a loss.

I haven't played comp in since like January so i acknowledge maybe the game has changed. That said, as I was trying to improve and get Lunas and then Not Forgotten one thing i realized was as a solo player I was having to essentially carry my team if i wanted to the top. When i didn't have to that was a bonus. And it did happen. But a lot of times. I flat out simply had to play like those streamers that can just be so good they can carry. But it sort of came organically. After a few up and down sessions. I took a break and the next time i played i was realizing that i was routinely the best performer in games my side. one. I had to win rounds with smart plays. Sometimes i even had to just jump on the mic cause guys were silent and just be uber positive, "you got the is man" or "we're down boys but we got this comeback. We got this." Iike even when i was half half tilted just. If you play well in solo more than likely you'll go up in rankings not down. But solo is hard cause people don't use mics. But after a while solo comp became the best playlist in the game for a while. No idea now. But for a while it was super fair. No stacked teams. You might get shit teammates but you could also get serious players.

Bungie: Slow down there champ! You won two games in a row? You're doing way too good! Time to match you against sweats while we pair you with people who got the game two hours ago. That should remove all the progress you just made.
-
Lower your k/d and you should be able to win more games, it's hard to have both based on CBMM.
-
You get used to it
-
I feel that. My team ate up the life pool and I became the last person standing on my team every round. The best way to adapt if you know your team is not doing so hot is to have weaponry and gear that grant final stand perks, for example celerity. At certain points you can’t do much if you’re getting collapsed on, it happens and you just have to try again
-
Abandon the playlist until they do one of 2 things. Either remove sbmm, or put accelerated glory gains based on skill level back.
-
Thats why they made it a seasonal challenge...because nobody is playing it. If only they could make an inch of effort to make activities rewarding and fun instead of taking the easiest and laziest approach to direct players where they want.
-
It's intentional so you keep grinding away....😑
-
Team balancing is way too strict, and there’s no rewards worth chasing after unbroken.
-
Bring back pinnacles to chase, like recluse etc.
-
A solo playlist is the issue. If there's no barrier, anyone and everyone will jump in. I know you play solo for a reason, but the only answer to your issue is to find a team and go into the regular playlist.
-
If that’s the case maybe go 5.0 or higher , that’s how I get it done.
-
It is. All pvp is right now. And probably for the rest of D2’s life.
-
If I were to care enough about a little pile of Bright Dust then It would be odd for me to get more than a .00 in the playlist. Bungie is the one who put Cadre of Contenders in the game . I suspect the comp playlist will have people with my attitude in it for a couple weeks. I have plenty of Bright Dust and don't care for PvP so I'm staying out of that mess. Good luck with getting matched up with people who actually care about winning. My tip would be to stay out of comp for a couple of weeks or group up with people who care about it until the majority of the non-PvP players get that Challenge out of the way.

The only suggestion I have is use LFG or don’t play. The better you are the more you are penalized when SBMM selects your stinkers I mean teammates.
